scra1chy 3 Jul '17 - 09:16 - 22848 of 22849 0 0 "The oversea's aid is only 0.7% of our GDP". Well I never! Never mind that the UK contribution is the most generous in Europe, more even than super wealthy Germany. Oh No, we must reverse that straight away, How about 99.93% for foreign aid........ 0.7% for us". Would that be better? Never mind that the UK effectively borrows the money given as Foreign Aid at high interest rates. Question. Who will pay for the new vaults required in Swiss Bank's when many of the foreign recipients lay there hands on the money? There are so many infirm suffering people in the UK, OAP's struggling to make end's meet. Hospitals stuffed to the Gills, People without homes, ect, ect, ect, ect. Please try applying your bleeding heart to them.

I think we have been infiltrated by a Guardian commentator.. I read that for a laugh now and again until I get bored with all the toys out of the pram chatter.

The oversea's aid is only 0.7% of our GDP, you don't take away from people who are poorer than yourselves because your government doesn't manage it's GDP fairly. How about closing all tax loop holes worth over a £100 billion per year? Most intelligent people would not mind paying a penny more on tax to save the NHS that the Tories are presently privatising right under our noses (it's 50% privatised now). The NHS is the only thing this country has to be proud of that other countries are envious of. I don't agree with leaving the EU, quite simply because we will be ruined financially. The UK currently is used as a portal by many other countries to trade in to the EU, and don't forget our financial services which we currently have pass-porting rights to the EU which is worth a huge chunk of our GDP. Our exports to the EU are worth £240 billion per year. Banks are already moving to Europe and will continue because money is mobile, so we will lose out yet again. It would be financial suicide to leave the free market, but I understand people's fears of uncontrolled immigration, so I would propose staying in the EU, with unlimited immigration leaving this country so all Brits can stay living and enjoying the benefits of Europe, but have restricted numbers coming in - I'm sure this deal could be cut. Also what is not made public is the fact that like all over EU countries there is a three month rule, which is, if anyone from the EU has not found a job within three months, and cannot financially support themselves, you can make them leave, Germany do this all the time, but the UK can't be bothered......
