A well -thought out response. Thank you. I still think that as the article states, Microsoft PE was 100 at one point when in its high -growth phase but then retreated as things changed. Whilst PETS might be a different animal, CVS at 75 ... surely cannot be compared to Microsoft! Therefore it is not for me.

hazl: paying for quality? PETS: latest eps growth 3.34%; forecast eps growth minus 12.27% CVSG: latest eps growth 43.54%; forecast eps growth 110.72% PETS is a retailer with veterinary add on CVSG dedicated veterinary, with additions such as pet crematoria. The closest company, by sector, is arguably DPH (animal pharma): not cheap either, but again quality.

https://www.investopedia.com/university/peratio/peratio2.asp Why is this so much higher PE ratio than say Pets at Home? Both seem to have good fundamentals but isn't 75 a bit rich? Just curious on passing through the bbs.

AGM next Thursday, usually accompanied by a brief update, expecting this to kick-on accordingly. I have been buying the dips.

"What is going on?" Well, no posts since 18 October! It looks to me like the £14 level is significant level. It has held back momentum since June. If it breaks again this time, I think it will be time to kick on again. A very strong move this pm.

Hi one and all! I have been trying to find a suitable entry point to get in here for a long time. Finally bit the bullet and bought in today. Long term hold that I will add to hopefully. GLA.

Positive little article in Shares magazine this week. Mentions the move into pet insurance, noting it wont see financial benefits in this FY.

Hi guys, relatively new to board so apologies if repeated. Is anyone aware of a company called VetPartners? Recently acquired our local vets and they have lost a lot of clients due to price hikes. Wondered if these were a threat to CVSG. Thanks in advance

Another useful acquisition: Equine veterinary group sold to CVS A Gloucestershire-based veterinary group has been acquired by Norfolk-headquartered counterpart CVS Group. B&W Equine Veterinary Group was established in 2009 through the merger of established equine practices Bushy Equine Vets and The Willesley Equine Clinic. The company is said to be largest specialist equine veterinary group in the South West of the UK with a practice based around a multi-disciplinary referral hospital in Breadstone, Gloucestershire. It also has practices in Cardiff, Gloucestershire and Bristol, employing more than 100 staff. The acquisition is said to be a strategically important deal for CVS, providing it with a presence in the UK equine market. This division has grown rapidly over the last 18 months and now stands at 32 sites. The group plans to continue to develop and grow the B&W business to optimise its potential. Simon Innes, chief executive of CVS, said: "The team at B&W bring enormous expertise to the CVS Equine group, and we are thrilled to have them join us, particularly as we are growing so rapidly in our equine division. "CVS looks forward to working with the B&W team to continue to deliver high levels of expertise and service as we deliver the next phase of growth together." Momentum Corporate Finance advised the sharehlders of B&W on the sale. Partner Rob Crews said:"We are delighted to have advised the shareholders of B&W on the sale to CVS. The compelling strategic fit between the businesses means that CVS is the right buyer to help B&W continue its recent growth and we believe that it will be a supportive owner in the years to come. "Following on from the sale of Highcroft Veterinary Group, this is the second leading independent veterinary group sale on which we have successfully advised. With high sales multiples being seen, and significant opportunity for further consolidation in the sector, this is an excellent time for veterinary group owners to consider realising their value." Hopefully more details on the deal in the next results.....

Well the market might like to take a look at CVSG's 5 year share price chart, and contemplate the prospects for the sector/CVSG moving forward......
