12/12/2013 08:41 | I agree Loverat, do the opposite of what he does, seems to work most of the time, and rest my case with QPP! hahaha Good luck with your investments and lets see a fresh start with CUP under the new CEO. Bubble I do see your point of view, and believe me the develpments are slow but each day there seems to be more trades, more shorts getting closed and more interest, and looking around AIM this week I think I will put my MARL and BMN profits in here because at this price how much lower can CUP go? Good luck with your investment and ATB | spottedlurcher
12/12/2013 06:35 | Is TW short in this? Might go long again then. Perhaps if someone has a list of his current shorts that will enable me to build up a small portfolia without bothering to do any research. | loverat
12/12/2013 06:18 | spotted, I was short Cupid but I was forcibly closed out due to lack of borrow. Luckily, I made a small profit. As TW seems to have managed to open a short, it seems that borrow is available again. That said, even if I was able to re-short again at this time, I think there are better opportunities around, long and short, compared to watching the painfully slow developments at CUP. | bubble pricker
11/12/2013 05:36 | Whilst I agree that TW is a clueless punter, he is hardly "getting burnt" with his position running 5.5% against him, is he? I always find it funny how the faithful portray minuscule losses of shorters as "getting burnt" when they are themselves down 20%, 30%, 50% or even more. As for the "cost savings" praised by J777J as a result of the CEO departure, I would not hold my breath for those "savings" to be passed to the shareholders. Soon enough, another fat cat will be appointed. Cupid has no sustainable business left, and receipt of the outstanding proceeds from the casual dating business is questionable, but even if they are received, they will be sucked up by fat cat salaries and losses. | bubble pricker
10/12/2013 22:24 | CH Deep Value Fund added to their seventh-largest position in November, according to the latest newsletter: hxxp://www.ch-invest In stark contrast, the following link is rather amusing. Not for the shareholders involved, I hasten to add: hxxp://www.youtube.c :-) | hezza123
10/12/2013 20:06 | I agree brownie, I just love seeing him burned esp on CUP where I have waited ages patiently while games have been played, As far as QPP goes, that has been my best performing share ! I wonder what his piazza tastes like! hahahah Well lets hope this comes good next year as I need to settle on my new house in March and am down over £10,000 here! hahahaha I plan on doing another top up this week as I truely belive we have turned a corner! GLA and here is to CUP going tonto! | spottedlurcher
10/12/2013 01:04 | TW gets burned pretty regularly actually! | ochs
09/12/2013 12:19 | lennons, old news... | wylecoyote
09/12/2013 10:23 | Directors leaving, old directors buying parts of the business, but the money isnt there yet. Bad publicity, misleading customers with fake IDs as seen in the BBC programme and terrible share chart. | lennonsalive
06/12/2013 15:16 | Well stripping put well over £1,000,000 in salaries and bonuses from just two people is a good start. Also Max was on the payroll in 2012 ,so that is another £69,000 salary off the cost base. If the shares get above 58p that would be a break out to the upside. | j777j
06/12/2013 13:56 | If they get their cost base down to fit the new size and all the sale proceeds come in then the shares could be worth 120p by my reckoning. | buffetteer

05/12/2013 21:06 | Excellent posts J777J and I am just so happy as I am sure others are to see confidence returning here, and hopefully the start of many more short positions closing, really makes me cross that Tremblant can get away with that! I think 2014 is going to be the year of the Cupid! ATB | spottedlurcher
05/12/2013 19:36 | Looks like Tremblant have probably closed their short. They are breaking rules by reporting days late but seem to be able to get away with it CUPID PLC Tremblant Capital LP 0.78% ↓ -0.28% 2013-12-03 The large volumes yesterday and today would indicate they are out and it will be reported over the next few days. | j777j
05/12/2013 08:34 | What price did they open the short interesting they have shown. There hand to close they look like they would like to be out pre 60p may not be able to in my eyes | markbarker
05/12/2013 08:25 | Another thing that has not been mentioned is the massive savings to the company by Dobbie stepping aside. In the last annual report Dobbie received a basic salary of £250,000 and a bonus of £347,000 for a total package of a staggering £597,000. Furthermore The former commercial director Mark Doughty who left after the sale of the casual dating in july was paid a basic salary of£180,000 and a bonus of £228,000 for a total package of £408,000. That is £1,005,000 a year cost savings for the company. An extraordinary amount for just two people. It could be the difference between the company making a profit and a loss. | j777j
04/12/2013 19:48 | Easy just look at the reported position above On 2 December their short position was 1.05% reduced by .10% so previously it was 1.15%. Now there were some interesting large trades over the last couple of days,so maybe they have reduced further. It seems, in breach of the rules, they are not reporting on the actual day of dealings. I think this is becoming a very interesting contrarian play. | j777j
04/12/2013 18:40 | J777j how do you now that they are closeing there short and what percent were they short cheers | markbarker
04/12/2013 17:07 | Tremblant capital starting to reduce their short position, the day after new Ceo appointed. Disclosed positions for Tremblant Capital LP in CUPID PLC Company % short Change Date changed/created CUPID PLC 1.06% ↓ -0.10% 2013-12-02 Will be interesting to hear if the newly appointed Ceo does the city rounds setting out his strategy. The co should have already received another £3,750,000 for sale of casual dating.Rolling in at £750,000 a month. | j777j |
