Posted at 11/10/2014 16:48 by jontyone From JMF's link:CSR dropped 6.3 per cent to 671p on fears that Microchip will now abandon plans to bid for the UK chipmaker. Having last month had an offer rejected, Microchip has until Wednesday to make another proposal or walk away. “Given management’s view that the current slowdown is likely to be a short-term issue, we would think that if an acquisition of CSR made sense last week, it should still make sense today,” Susquehanna told clients. “If a deal were to be done, we think investors would look on it favourably, since it would drive significant accretion using offshore cash.” |
Posted at 25/9/2014 07:51 by tolga1 Thx JMFthe fact that the share price did not hold at 8 pounds is slightly concerning. I would have expected that the big hedge funds/investors increased their stake if they expected a higher takeover price. Someone is clearly selling all be it in small volumes. Hope i am wrong though |
Posted at 28/8/2014 09:21 by holidayhome I'm not an investor but I agree I would sell now if I were. So many times the end result doesn't happen and the price falls just as rapid. Bird in the hand etc etc. Happy days for you! |
Posted at 20/8/2014 15:15 by tolga1 Sorry I am an amateur as well, clearly some people can manipulate the share price making other 'investors, believe some news is imminent and hence sucking them in and once the price is dropped they are locked in. The fact that the price went up with not a correspondent volume was suspiciousPart of trading tricks I am told. But I am an amateur as well:-( |
Posted at 05/11/2013 11:37 by kenmill1 Lower revenues in the legacy and consumer divisions and an estimate of revenues for the 4th qtr of $195 - $215 million against $244 million 4th qtr 2012, means that an investor has to have faith that new business will fill the gap and more.I would guess that is the reason for the drop today. |

Posted at 09/8/2012 16:16 by yangou Investors chronicle thought it might be 90p.So best hold on in my view if you have some. At least for the divi .I dont believe that they will come down much ,if at all, with this divi as the cash is from a sale of part of the company. |
