With the new and credible cash bid it feels it has effectively put the Company up for sale.

BW with his 10%+ I imagine is not a happy man.

I was prepared to sit with this for a few years but now think it will be gone in coming months.

They were ill-advised to do the share consolidation. 9/10 the share price goes down after the event.

New cash bid still significantly undervalues the company but is at least credible.

All depends on what Cannacord, Lion Trust, Gresham, William Currie, Herald and Octopus think.

400p is probably a fair price for the business imo although I doubt the company agree with this but I think they could have done more for investors.

Must say any sellers in the last few days must be pretty xxxxxx off with the company sitting on this bid since the 14th.

Good to see this in play.A commensurate price would be a bonus for long suffering holders.

Wow !
That looks a sensible offer from Ideagen and I guess our board, who have much skin in the game themselves, will tweak it a little bit higher and that could be a great deal for everyone.

They are both examples of our broken stock market, nobody can take a long term view and no inst invests because their compliance dept controls their investments. I suspect it will only get worse under labour as they do not understand job creation and it is at this small company level that jobs are created by growth ideas.

I always thought this was a good little company but would not have been in profit if I had stayed with it.
These companies need more support, in my view.

Have to agree, note also other than the chairman the shareholdings are minuscule and have few share options. Both companies have their faults and they cannot escape the fact that nobody is investing in small companies hence no liquidity in either share. I am attracted by the growth in the sector and want to own more but .....

Hopefully the whole saga is a kick up the backside to management and a reminder it isn’t a private company.
Maybe they need to be more self-critical to drive the growth?
…just an outsider looking in.

I see the board have now issued their rns which effectively kicks the offer from Checkit into the long grass...

I see Edison have today put out an "advertorial" re the offfer from Checkit, essentially it is nothing much more than the rns plus a precis of Checkit's accounts

Rare for a company not to respond to a bid approach within 24hrs.

I agree, very unlikely to go through.
Whichiver way you look at TIDE, it is cheap as chips & importantly has potential to expand with a great customer base & cash in the bank.
We sit tight & wait...

Maybe Herald who have a stake in both suggested it to give TIDE a bit of a kick up the backside?

Anyway v unlikely to go through.

Checkit shares are down 45% in last 5 years- not the greatest sign of “good management”.

Seem a lot of frustrated shareholders on their BB.

Checkit have very good management. They don’t play golf and they don’t “working from home”

They seem to have burnt £6m last year although cash burn appears to be falling.
