Investors Chronicle rates CRL a buy:

‘…although investors have sold down the shares to below the 44p entry point in my 2020 Bargain Shares Portfolio, I can see recovery potential with the shares valued in line with book value and on a price/earnings (PE) ratio of 8.5. Recovery buy.’

IG 10k or 27k trades being quoted at 82.8/84.

Suspect mm's are trying to scare investors as they have a buyer and supply is tight.

Creightons plc comprises departments engaged in development, marketing and manufacturing of toiletries and fragrances. The firm is segmented into three business streams: own branded business, private label business and contract manufacturing business. These highly enriching and stimulating initiatives were positively reflected on the firm’s financial prospects, where gross profit margin hiked by 42.7% in 2021 from 39.3% in 2020. Despite the gross profit margin rally, the firm’s stock price is undervalued, as illustrated by its low P/E ratio of 14.9x, which is relatively below the consumer staples P/E ratio of 27.31x, hence it is cheaply available for investors to buy the stock. Consequently, it implies that Creightons is trading at a discount with respect to its peers and is likely to soar since its EPS growth is 36.1%%, which is above the personal products industry EPS growth of 29.01%.

Management treating investors like mushrooms again.

This time last we’d already had the interims, not even an announcement when they will be. So frustrating.

I'm expecting to see it slowly decline until we see something, no reason they can't keep investors up to date with progress

usually announcements of acquisitions causes share price to drop. This was the case last time CRL announced an offer which subsequently fell through and the share price rose.

many investors have a short term stance.

Whilst applying management ability, economies of scale, profitting from a former competitor etc are welcome for long term investors it takes time to have an impact on dividends hence the share price drop on such an announcement - for most companies IMHO

Investor
It was my interpretation of the answer. No other info or timing was given or could be inferred.

From my perspective, the most important factor is the revenue and margin targets for the 3 years to 2024 from end of current year. A lot of that revenue growth is likely to be online. They do plan to make acquisitions, I hope from cash and not new shares.

Anyway £100m of revenues and net margins of 9% equates with £9m of profit. The market cap is now less than £40m. If it moved to 10 times profit one gets a £90m market cap. That is large enough to bring in another set of investors. Therefore, in my mind this is a potential core holding. So I am still likely to add.
