It was a problem with the brokers. I had shares with 2 brokers and there was a definite breakdown in communication between the registrar (capita) and the brokers. I had to make numerous calls/emails and eventually get Geoff (the CFO) directly involved to get it sorted. In both cases cmcp appears to have fallen off the radar of the brokers and they weren't responding to the info from capita even when they finally received it.I think you have missed the initial date for accepting the offer. As i understand it, since more than 90% have accepted, it will be mandatory conversion, but that won't happen until June. You should tell selftrade to talk to capita. If you don't have any luck, i can give you an email for customer liaison at capita who can chase it up.

Thanks for all the good work, fft. My shares are held through Selftrade and I called them and they had no idea what to do - they said applying for the shares themselves (i.e certificate) takes up to 30 business days and that is nowhere near enough time to make the deadline they gave, so I have no idea what to do now. I called CMCP in London and the person I spoke to said the CFO will call me back but I never had a call. Any idea what to do now?

Amazed they chose korea. Very difficult place to trade. Must use korean broker and be cleared first before can trade. Dont see any private investors from outside korea getting involved. Dont see koreans getting involved as non of cfl/cmcp buziness will be in korea or even in korean language ! It will be as under the radar as it is possible to get ! Will ask why they didnt use HK or SING as much easier and investor friendly. I would like to carry on holding shares....

Good luck whatever you decide Rob. I hope this does a OCZ for you (they delisted from AIM, relisted on NASDAQ a couple of years later, and the share price jumped almost 100 fold soon afterwards - it's still 40 times higher than on AIM delisting).

This thread will remain open after delisting.

As for your shareholding, I believe you need to ask Selftrade to forward your share certificate. So instead of holding in a nominee account, you hold the certificate yourself. I think this is right, but please someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Best of luck to CMCP holders. FWIW I think holding shares in the private company is a better bet than selling at a big loss.

If I decide to keep my shares, I assume the CMCP holding will just disappear from my Selftrade account. What evidence will I have that I still own the shares? I know that probably sounds a silly question but this is all new territory for me..

345654 - one case of a delisting company which I remember well was OCZ technology. They specifically said they were quitting AIM to pursue a better valuation elsewhere.

After the initial sell-off, they doubled from 5p to 10p as punters piled in before delisting. They later relisted on NASDAQ, and within about 4-5 years of leaving AIM were trading at $9 a share (approx 600p). So anyone buying at the low, i.e 5p, had a 120 bagger.

I sadly chose to sell just before delist @ 10p.

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!

Maybe CMCP could come back in future, debt-free, profitable, and given a proper valuation. What would that be? 5 - 10 bagger from here? Can't see it doing 120x like OCZ.

wimirob, i understand however as someone has already pointed out , you can now be diluted out of existence. Also , say 5 years down the line , if/when the company is making a decent profit how would you benefit besides getting a dividend ie how will you sell your shares and who will decide the price ? Private shareholder are once again left with nothing. I would rather the company go into administration - at least some value may be unlocked for all of us.

diesel,

a few years ago, refinancing wouldnt have been an issue, but in todays climate, the amount of debt relative to the size of the company (equity wise) is huge. We know that they havnt had any problems in repaying the interest and capital on schedule, but that hasnt stopped companies in the past couple of years having problems rolling over loans.

If JP Morgans policy on loans has changed - and i am sure ít will have in the last couple of years - then CMCP is not big enough to be a special case. It could be that they wont fund the entire amount and insist on a partial sale of the library to reduce the debt amount. Or maybe CMCP is building up Collins to be able to sell it to reduce debt quicker before the re-financing. We wont know until CMCP approach JPM, or maybe they have, and we as shareholders will only find out a lot later (could explain why directors arent putting there hands in there pockets at these prices).

But, if the re-financing was a certainty, the share price probably wouldnt be where it is now - unless there is another negative that we dont know about yet !

I still think it's very high risk with the debt and convertable debt.

What they need is to keep chipping away at the ordinary debt and then a investment player like Timeweave to do what they did at DCD and buy all the convertable debt and help transform the company.

I think the small cap media sector is the place to buy, there's quite a few attractive investments around, Cmcp purely because of the debt is the most
risky, but DCD was dead and buried at xmas at 1p bid and that rose 10 fold
so anything is possible.

You what moreforus, i've been told that you are totally paranoid morefours
but you dont have to post here to prove it.
I sold all my CMCP after the AGM and put it into DCD at 1.5p and lower, i added
more DCD at 2-2.25p and sold them at 9.5p and higher and started buying back under 6p, you are a fruitcake, saying that it would be good to see you attend the next AGM at CMCP or DCD as i will attend both ?
