That explains the difference in Mike's IU and his declared holding. It looks like it's combined with Laura Lord - total combined holding 77,823,319

Well CCR I agree with you too - it was a bolt from the blue but overall I do trust Leo Koot so I am happy to give the chap the benefit of any doubt and initially I did have some but trust he knows what he is doing - after all if P1 comes off it puts that find with 25% recoverable way up there with the majors in terms of recoverable reserves but ifs a duster then the enlarged company still has SWP and Suriname!

I don't expect them to do anything 12bn no more or less than you old bean.... just that our new rodent decided to keep having the argument by the looks after I said I was done the difference being he claims to be an educated and savvy investor that never posts on investments but for some reason has decided to make an exception - at least you can hide behind the fact you are just trolling what's his game?

The WTI didn't fall I agree Eggy but there is time yet! The share price prediction of 1p may yet prove correct but the BPC deal did catch me by surprise, just like everyone else. Now admit that expecting folk not to post to you because you claim to have them filtered is more than a 'bit rich' coming from you.////////EggChaser22 Jun '20 - 12:32 - 10891 of 10894

What's Next For Oil Prices?

Crude oil has rebounded to $40 per barrel and hoping to stay there. Some analysts have come out with more bullish forecasts for the near-term, but plenty of risks remain. “Good production discipline on the part of OPEC+ coupled with a massive involuntary reduction in production in the US on the one hand, plus the rapid recovery of demand on the other, have caused supply surpluses to be eroded significantly more quickly than anticipated,” Commerzbank wrote in a note on Monday.

WTI hit $40 and retreated a bit in recent days, but appears to be stabilizing for the time being at around that threshold. Rystad Energy says that $40 is the new normal.
“Further gains or 45-50 dollars would not be justified at this stage despite the supply curtailments as there are still valid concerns on the demand side,” said Rystad Energy’s head of oil markets, Bjornar Tonhaugen. “Infections are rising in key markets around the world and there are valid concerns that the world is in for a prolonged period of dealing with its consequences.”

But some analysts are beginning to make the case that oil will continue on an upward trend.

“As we head into next year, we believe transportation demand could recover at a faster rate than we initially anticipated and we also think that OPEC+ will likely hold back larger supply volumes than we anticipated three months ago,” Bank of America Merrill Lynch wrote in a new report. ..

Ccr my thought is Schroders selling and the uncertainty as to if the deal will go ahead?

Surly the BPC share price is the driver to our final value - which I agree is low vs what we have already never mind what we could have?

Why did LK go for this deal with BPC? This is the important question here. Trinidad wells have had a nasty habit of dropping off a cliff after initial good flows,is this what has happened at Saffron1? We know that Schroders are still selling here and imo this selling would have driven the share price back to 1p but now Cerp have BPC holders buying as well as Cerp loyalists they might hold the inevitable drip drip drop off a bit longer. Cerp needs cash, hence all the dilutive share issuances to cover money owed to other companies. My guess is that LK saw either massive dilution ahead or Cerps demise and the BPC deal is a way out. OK it is a big gamble, most off-shore wells are unsuccessful but maybe the plan is to never drill in the Bahamas but drill in the SWP of Trinidad, who knows but we shall see. With covid-19 related low oil demand the PoO is unstable and any oil wells are now very speculative ventures indeed,to say the least.

Eggchaser,

People can be disagreeable. I have plenty of stocks I hold and do not comment on - I have a small holding here which I was considering upping in light of Saffron. I usually remain a silent observer in most stocks I own and follow. You are unable to reason, always play the man not the ball, remain a blind follower of management incapable of scrutiny and get personal - usually a sign of someone who has lost the argument (needs to resort to personal attacks).

If replying is an issue for you, then YOU stick to filter - its not an issue for me. I am discussing the company, open to various opinions which is what the board has been setup for. If you cannot comment without constant personalised attacks - YOU should leave the board. Your insinuation is I have a short position here - I have none and have never had a short position. I don't have any spreadbetting or CFD accounts. I'm old school when it comes to investing. So stop with the insinuations.

MOR - Yes I read that at the time however TXP have a little more production at the time or even now than we do or have I got my TXP and TRIN mixed up?! I am guessing that current production helps with the negotiation of any new or increased finance? Having said that BPC have got funding with no production but that was before Covid and weakness in WTI?

To the rest of the thread - One other point that has been posted several times is the term binary play which in isolation does not sound so great. To me P1 is not a binary play as BPC entered Uruguay recently and should the two companies merge means P1 is far from binary as we (CERP) still have the same projects underway as we do now.

I have a feeling that LK might be under pressure to speed things up hence the deal? Schroders were frustrated about something that’s for sure and maybe like us had enough of seeing their holding diluted each month? Make no mistake their off loading has not helped and some of you know I mailed into the company to raise the issue and ask what the board were doing about it. The question now is what will the share price of BPC be on the day the merger goes ahead as that surely dictates the final price of CERP shares? Will we see any news from the Goudron negotiations, the test results at Saffron or even the next steps in Suriname?

Anyway that's all from me today - much to the relief of most of you! But remember not all Directors in AIM companies are con-merchants and sometimes you can only really go by what you see and read and should not be swayed by mine or anyone else's view for that matter. As I have said before a broken clock tells the time correctly twice a day so until more detail is available to us its a case of which story is going to be the working version of that clock!

Pmsl how do people cope in researching investments when they can’t process simple text stating the filter would be used which I did out of respect to preserve JCG’s thread and not turn it into a war zone of words.

Further backs my claims as to why this Johnny Come Lately is here - yet missed all the excitement from the Saffron drill as one example! Invested - Yeh rrrrright - who are you trying to kid Cash?!!?

Claims not to post on investments held but how strange to choose to pop up here now with those negative vibes??

Readers beware!
