Oil Climbs After Surprise Drop in Industry Tally of U.S. Supply

→ Buyers draining American storage points to tighter market

Buyers draining American storage points to tighter market
Traders awaiting weekly U.S. government count on Wednesday

Crude rose in after-hours trading because an oil-industry assessment was said to show a larger-than-expected contraction in U.S. crude stockpiles.

Futures extended gains from the settlement in New York after the American Petroleum Institute was said to have reported domestic oil inventories slid by 5.2 million barrels last week. That exceeded the 3.15 million-barrel decline forecast in a Bloomberg survey. If the drop is confirmed by the government on Wednesday, it will aggravate tightening supply conditions stemming from the shutdown of a key North Sea pipeline...

I will be getting up at 6am tomorrow in anticipation of very positive newsflow. LK is too shrewd to disappoint the market. I am sure we will be producing around 600 - 800 BOPD. I really hope to see an aggressive growth plan for 2018.

pr100, That is my take too. In all the presentations and interviews he came across a very confident man. In AIM, confidence has to be not just talk the talk, but walk the walk. We will soon find out if he is demonstrating the latter. He will have done very detailed due diligence to have taken this job and felt confident being able to deliver as AIM is very unforgiving. As I said before, he put a marker down when he repeatedly used the terms 'over-deliver' and 'bang for your buck'. I accept that a few quid over CF+ and few barrels above 550 achieves the objective. However, I do believe he will have comfortably exceeded his own expectations. After a couple of years of misery under Ritson, I feel very re-assured with Leo's style and can't wait to digest his 1st FORMAL update. If everything is going to plan, it makes his forward endeavours that much more attractive and I can see Trinidad ministry and Insti's wanting association with him and CERP.

GL all, you gotta be in it to win it!

…or a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush.

But I'm in the bush. LK gave formal guidance in the October placing RNS that CERP were on track to be cash flow positive by the end of the year and the rules are simple: if that guidance needed to be changed then CERP would have been forced to issue an RNS.

So I'm 100% certain that CF+ will be announced tomorrow.

In the Sept interims RNS, CERP stated that they were forecasting 550bopd by the year end. Again, I'm sure they would have been required to update that forecast if they were no longer going to meet it.

So I'm 100% certain that production of at least 550bopd will be announced tomorrow.

And that will do me. He may well over-deliver, as he likes to do, but just meeting those targets will be enough to cement his credentials and put CERP on the high road.

Thought it a little unprofessional to tweet something that is obviously going to affect the share price All you do is attract the herd of day traders. Good luck to them but it can have adverse affects on the share price over the next few weeks. Good today albeit though.

Nobody pre-announces a company update in advance of bad news. They want to make a big deal of this. I expect BRR, Proactive, slides, the whole shebang. Looking forward to tomorrow!!
