19/1/2006 04:35 | Once upon a time I sold some, but not all (silly me) of my Scoot shares for £3.43. As I recall, that was at or near the high (lucky me!) and, on that basis, the new COE shares cost £857.50 of Scoot money after a 50:1 and now 5:1 consolidation. Current mid price is 24.5p so they have destroyed a spectacular 99.97% of the value since then. | kingsize
18/1/2006 18:30 | Can anbody advise if my share certificate is worth anything? i have a certificate for 220,000 scoot.com shares which i purchased in November 2001. worked abroad since then and have lost contact on news. | naed

18/1/2006 01:57 | .................... Coe also announced today that it is reorganising its capital. It explained that of its 19,000 shareholders, the majority have been shareholders since the group was called Scoot.com PLC. Around 17,000 of these shareholders have shares which are effectively worthless after taking into account the minimum cost of selling their shares. The reorganisation involves a one for 500 share consolidation, creating new shares of 25 stg each. Each consolidation share will then immediately be sub-divided into 2,500 new ordinary shares, of which 2,400 will immediately be redesignated as deferred shares. After the reorganisation, any shareholder holding fewer than 500 existing ordinary shares will no longer be a shareholder in the company. Instead, they would receive a cash sum. .................... Result of AGM/EGM RNS Number:0272X Coe Group PLC 17 January 2006 COE Group plc (the "Company") announces that at the annual general meeting and the extraordinary general meeting, which were both held today, all resolutions were duly passed. As a result, the capital reorganisation which was announced on 23 December 2005,has taken effect. The new ordinary shares of 1p each in the Company will therefore be admitted to trading on AIM on 18 January 2006. | k38
11/1/2006 11:29 | mikester In simple terms, you will only lose the lot if your share holding is less than £3.00 in value at the time of the consolidation. If you tried to sell that holding in the market it would almost certainly cost you more than the £3.00 in dealing costs anyway. The company is giving you the opportunity to sell your holding without dealing costs if that is what you desire, albeit your net proceeds will not amount to much. An alternative option is to purchase sufficient additional shares to meet the minimum requirement of 500 shares to remain in the game. Even if you only currently own one share you only need to spend £24.95 (plus dealing costs) at todays price to achieve the necessary minimum. My own view is that a further investment of about £250.00 would give most small shareholders a reasonable chance of improving their overall situation. While I would not advocate averaging down on every occasion I consider this to be an opportunity worthy of a little additional risk, providing, of course, that a total loss would not represent too much of a disaster. All IMHO, dbno | dbno
10/1/2006 19:34 | too keep a holding in the company how many shares will one have to hold? from what i can remember that all share holders holding less than i think 500 shares that it you loose the lot? can someone help on this thanks | mikester
09/1/2006 14:15 | A lot of these CCTV survailance companies have faired none too well recently. Orbis are struggling with a big debt burden and Protec have just been taken over after a few years lossmaking. Quadnetics, who took over Protec, have done well and perhaps when they have had chance to intergrate them they may look for others. | kombimatec
09/1/2006 13:49 | Up to you dbno, after watching the Scoot shell reverse into COE and the firm go nowhere and continually struggle, I would rarther invest elsewhere, top up in CEY, PMK or MGP, but we shall see, I may look at the price in 1 year and see it at 40p...BUT i may look and find it no longer there... | darklord2 |
