Posted at 13/7/2022 08:13 by fillipe Quite some collapsing share price following today's RNS.Publicity-wise, from an investor view the interest and comments(past and present) appear to be near zero. Anyone thinking of picking up a few COM shares at the current low level? f |
Posted at 15/7/2005 08:41 by madaboutshares Extracted from today's Guardian Online'Comino bid talk There was a sharp rise in shares of IT services company Comino Group yesterday as traders scented a fresh bid for the business. Shares in the company, which provides IT solutions for local government, social housing and occupational pensions administration, rose 12.5p to 262.5p. Traders said the share price rise was due to comments made by the management of rival Anite Group, up 0.25p at 64.75p, during a series of recent post-results meetings. Anite, which is about six times larger than Comino, works across the IT services sector but has a significant unit dealing with the public sector. Anite's management have apparently been talking to investors and analysts about making deals to bolster the business, leading traders to speculate about a bid for Comino. Comino is no stranger to predators. Last November the company said that talks with a potential bidder had ended after two months of talking.' |
Posted at 02/6/2004 08:01 by pippin Agreed, holdontight, the chart doesn't look good. I doubt that it has much to do with leaking bad news, though, just smallish short term investors hopping out after piling in a couple of weeks ago.I think the chart could turn quite quickly. |
Posted at 11/11/2003 10:11 by badabing Looks like management tried to hide the legal dispute way in the report (when will they ever learn that this always has a negative effect). Volumes today are pretty light (largest trade is only 4,000 shares) so no real indicators yet as to real investor thinking. |
