Thanks nutty1, that is a great piece of information.
So the former Northern / Cabot Production Manager has taken a 4.50% stake in Cabot Energy, I'm happy to hold.

The name Dale Cadieux also appears on the holdings press release alongside Northeastern Oilfield Services. I believe Mr Cadieux was also the Northern/Cabot Canada Production Manager - at least he was in 2016.

Another large shareholder has joined the Share Register, Northeastern Oilfield Services Ltd now own 4.50% of Cabot Energy. This follows on from Mr. Krafft buying 5.30% of the company during the recent share placement, they must think that Cabot Energy has a future.

Share price creeping up on very few trades.

Mr Krafft (see recent RNS) bought 5.30% of the company via the subscription....interesting.

Imperial, I've lost interest in this share. The holdings in company announcements show how totally illiquid it is. It is now capitalised at less than the gross cash it raised in the rescue financing. There seems little point in keeping it traded on AIM as the Nomad, broker and financial pr costs will be the best part of £100k a year for the benefit of £400k worth of smaller investors, many of whom have almost worthless shareholdings.

Fair comment, but they are still falling.

Not a strong investment case but all the bad news is probably known about. I've watched them down since a friend tipped them around 3.5p. Historically I have done very well from buying bombed out oil shares like Serica at 3p. It makes sense on a portfolio basis to have a few medium term punts where other people have lost a fortune.

I still can't trade CAB online with ii although they have at least re-introduced the stock line. Hopefully they'll be 8p offered when they eventually let me deal!

I couldn't buy it online today with ii. Maybe tomorrow they will have the stock line. Needs cash but not a bad punt at this level.

"The immediate next steps will be to pursue joint ventures, debt and equity financing at the asset level before we approach the market to secure additional funding for the development of a drilling programme in Canada and support the growth of the business."

Scott Aitken - CEO Cabot Energy

GBP 2.53 new capital invested today (subscription & Open Offer), Market Cap today GBP 2.99 million. High Power Petroleum have invested GBP 1.52 million & the CAB Directors have issued a statement saying that the Canadian assets remain strong.....I have taken a punt on this share, I wonder whether Scott Aitken's Seapulse will have any roll to play in the development of a drilling programme in Canada?

Time will tell...

"Looking ahead, the Directors believe that the underlying assets of the business remain strong. As previously stated, we were encouraged by the annual increase of 26% in gross Net Proven plus Probable reserves to 3.6 mmboe as well as the 339% increase in gross reserves and resources of the Canadian asset to 42.2 mmboe. Also, encouragingly, the spread between the West Texas Intermediate benchmark crude price ("WTI") and the Edmonton Light Oil benchmark price ("Edmonton") from December 2018 onwards has been restored to normal historical levels. The immediate next steps will be to pursue joint ventures, debt and equity financing at the asset level before we approach the market to secure additional funding for the development of a drilling programme in Canada and support the growth of the business." Scott Aitken - CEO Cabot Energy taken from 12 February 2019 RNS

Monday 4 March 2019 estimated share price range - 15p to 31p.
31p would put this company back to a Mcap of GBP 9.929 million, that was the Mcap prior to the RNS announcing the capital raising.
Canadian assets in September 2018 were independently valued at GBP US$48.3 million or c. GBP 36.70 million equivalent to 114.92 pence per share.

Cabot Energy raised GBP 2.53 million against a planned raise of GBP 2.852 million - 88.7%

There is a clear disconnect between the independent valuation of the Canadian assets (Report posted on Cabot's website)and the market capitalisation of Cabot Energy...how is this going to play out?

The next few months are going to be interesting, I don't hold many shares but I have bought in to the Open Offer.
