Board Appointments and Changes

Clinton Cards PLC, the UK's market leading greetings card retailer is today announcing the following Board appointments and changes:

Hazel Cameron - Appointed as Non-Executive Director

Hazel Cameron is a Chartered Accountant with corporate finance, private equity and non-executive directorship experience. Hazel has worked for Cross Atlantic Capital Partners as Managing Director UK; HBOS as Head of Chairman Programme; and Bowman Capital as European Private Equity Partner. Her earlier career also included positions with 3i, British Linen Bank and Arthur Andersen & Co. Hazel is currently Chairman Network Director with LDC.

Dave Hughes - Appointed as Non-Executive Director

Dave Hughes is an experienced multichannel and retail strategy professional. He has worked with Marks & Spencer as Director, M&S Direct; Travelport as Chief Marketing Officer, Galileo as Director of Strategy; InterContinental Hotels Group London as Senior Vice President, Strategic Business Development and Senior Vice President Sales, Marketing and Commercial; Sainsburys in strategic management. Until March 2012 Dave was Chief Marketing Officer for the Game Group.

Other Board Changes

John Coleman and Robert Gunlack, Non-executive directors, will retire from the Board with effect from 31 March 2012.

John Robinson has decided to resign as Group Buying Director Clinton Cards and from the Board of Directors with effect from 31 March 2012.

Stuart Houlston, Property Director, will step down from the Board with effect from 31 March 2012. He will remain with the business and be a member of the executive team focusing on the Company's retail estates.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Robert Gunlack, John Coleman and John Robinson for their contribution to the business, Stuart for his contribution to the Board and welcome Hazel and Dave to the Board.

I have agreed to stay on as Chairman of the Board until the close of the financial year, 31 July 2012. This will allow the board time to appoint a new Chairman and the new independent non-executive directors to become familiar with the business. The appointments to the board are part of a programme of changes being made following the appointment of Darcy Willson-Rymer as Chief Executive Officer in October 2011. The board changes are supported by executive changes as we increase capability and expertise to drive our transformation.

There is nothing further required to be disclosed under Listing Rule 9.6.13.
