08/8/2009 11:56 | A couple of articles on the proposed offer by Housing 21. According to the FT "The 39p per share offer from Housing 21 values the entire share capital of the group at just under £20m, and follows an auction process that involved about 10 bidders from both the care industry and private equity." Looks unlikely in these circumstances that anyone else would be willing to pay above 39p for the company. | gac100
07/8/2009 13:49 | Looks like a knockout deal pending net debt clarification. Maybe bring down the bid price by a few pence eventually. Can't see anyone else bettering it to be honest. Not fussed as holding since sub 7p a while ago. IMHO | aishah
07/8/2009 13:35 | rather than sell, bought some more at 31p... sharp discount to probable offer price and also due to recent results rns "the Group has taken soundings from a number of trade parties and potential private equity buyers, which indicate that there is an appetite to purchase the whole Group. The review process has continued and the Board has to date received a number of indicative conditional proposals to make an offer for the entire issued share capital of the Company. This may or may not lead to such an offer being made. The Board will inform shareholders of further progress when appropriate. " | mister md

07/8/2009 09:42 | I have sold out now. Happy with a multibagger and will leave a little for the next man. If the bid fell through it would imply there is something drastically wrong. As such I wasn't prepared to take the risk for another 6p. | the big fella

29/7/2009 14:14 | Is the FD still at Claimar? He's not shown as a director on their site: but I can't see an RNS saying that he's gone. Also interesting to read under Mark Hales that: "In 2007, Claimar won "Acquirer of the Year 2008" in recognition of its unique acquisition strategy." Hmmm, unique possibly, but not in a good way. | zoltanvarga74
