LONDON (Dow Jones)--A London Stock Exchange spokesman said the exchange has declared a so-called fast market and have requested that all Automated Input Facilities cease following a series of blasts in central London.
"Market Makers in SETSmm and SEAQ are relieved of their obligations to make two-way prices," he said, without elaborating.
The spokesman said that markets remain fully operational but added: "We will keep the situation under review, and provide a further update in 30 minutes."

The new cricket rules
England and Australia will become the first teams to trial the innovations in cricket announced by the International Cricket Council.

Substitutes - each team can use one substitute per match. They must name a 12-man team at the toss and nominate who will be the substitute. That player is eligible to bat and bowl and come on at anytime during the match.

Fielding restrictions - normally the first 15 overs are subject to fielding restrictions but under the new rules there will be 10 overs at the start of the innings followed by two further blocks of five over restrictions to be used at the fielding captain's discretion
