Well I did warn you about him - pumped this an now he's out and deramping it:

"LS Lowry - 19 Jan'10 - 19:42 - 434 of 473

Well you need to read the brokers notes then which you havent CR!!!

The brokers indicated that the bigger players could be looking for some of the smaller companies to be taken out those are the brokers CR not me. We already know the company is talking to a blue chip client over its voltage optimizers the co has said so.

As for "losing thy dosh" as you put it the share price is up 700% last year and anpther 50% lately and thats a massive discount to the brokers target price of 54p medium term.

You are in the wrong league CR I make money not lose it like you have with ALN "

Been following TS from iii and switched into EKT. Elektron has a better outlook fundamentals better and the co forecasts are twice as good. EKT is bounding away the market makers are rumoured to be short of stock. Seems holders here are following TS on iii.

Surprised that we're retracing so much given the recent MOU TSs. Obviously some holders from single figure times must be taking profits - hopefully we'll find support mid teens

They will have agreed terms which allow them to leverage the infrastructure of SSE so they have national coverage without having to invest in their own installation team and work for all of their customers.

The fact that a large utility is looking at this says there is demand - otherwise why would they bother

There is undoubtebly a discount for their work - SSE would have strong negotiating power. However, it is revenue they would never have got otherwise if the partnership works, so for me it is what you have to accept as a small player.

If it grows the top line and they get a % of this, fine, they are still growing the top line

Btw I do agree with you there could be profit taking, I just see it as a buying opportunity as I think they are setting up some great foundations to go out and win a lot of work in the next 6 months. For me that is the story for this stock.

I think it was already priced in when it went from c.16 - 20, that's 25% on the news if you take the view it was probably widely known and bought before it was officially released. What were you expecting in the RNS? News of new contracts?

'Further to the announcement made by the Company on 22 December 2009 the Company
can confirm that Active Energy, a subsidiary of the Company, is now in advanced
discussions with a subsidiary of a UK focused blue chip energy supplier
regarding a memorandum of understanding relating to the development of new
markets for the VoltageMaster product'

This was prior to the news, so I don't understand how it has been disappointing?

From what I understand the placing made in Dec was to open overseas markets, surely you can't expect anything to happen there straight away?

Not at all Holly...I was waiting for the news and a bit dissapointed when I read it. They did a placing to ramp up sales but there was nothing in the RNS to suggest sales will be ramped up. The best they could say was it will bring them clser to target market.

Its all about timing. If the news had have been better I would not have taken my profits. More to the point holly if the news was that good well why didn't the share price race ahead?

I think the news has dissapointed more than me.

edit ..##

Somethuing else Holly the co talk about an agreement how do we know they havent agreed a discount for their work won. Presumbaly there must be some deal. In fact the RNS states Cinp is the prefered supplier, not their only supplier.

LS - based on your posts over the last month you seem to be the definition of a pump and dumper. On the way up you hyped it saying takeover/big news etc and then now its doom and gloom. I also don't believe you even get what the RNS meant and expected to just see a huge jump in share price and now that it hasn't happened you run for the hills and try to take others with you.

I believe that news on new contract wins can come in at every time, and as such am not prepared to trade this stock for small time gains. Long term holders will see great value over the next year, and any weakness is an opportunity

Their target market is c.400,000 commercial buildings throughout the UK. The largest player (Powerperfector) installed about 385 last year. If ActiveEnergy can replicate that they will hit £12m sales, and if you were to take a VERY prudent p/e ratio of 13x, that gives you share price of 30. a more realistic p/e for a company like this is minimum 20x, which gives share price of 50.

I think you're really missing the point about yesterdays news, it was not meant to immediately change the valuation of the company, it was the spring board from which they can suddenly target a lot more customers, and outsource the installation to a group with national infrastructure, while they concentrate on sales. Very clever.

If you have sold from 10-20 then GL LS, but for me the story is just beginning

Agreed LS but whilst they have lots to prove I personally am going to run my profits. The thing I like about yesterdays news is that we are at the start of the year and SE have all the clients, no cold calling required! Good luck!

They have yet to deliver 2010 profits and you wont know for another 12 months unless there is a sudden uplift in orders and the co has not even hinted at that. The best they did yesterday was hint at hoping to meet target market whatever that may be.

LS for what it is worth Edison, one of the brokers that follow the company had a forcast for 2010 of 12.4m revenue, pbt 1.8m, eps if 1.5p so p/e of 13.2 & that was before yesterday's news. I guess that is what makes markets!!

LS - yesterdays news doesn't change the valuation of the company, it is merely an enabler to extend the number of potential customers in a clever way.

Patience is required here, the only thing that will move this IMO is top line growth through contract wins

It's extremely good news - this gives them national coverage and I think the contracting model makes a lot of sense as we won't need to invest heavily ourselves in the infrastructure required to deliver and install it.

Fantastic news, I will be adding heavily on any weakness - building up quite a nice holding

I think there were quite a few who bought into this before the news, and we're getting the usual buy the rumour sell the fact.

All in all though absolutely cracking news. If we can get a new contract win under our belt in the next few weeks should set up a great base to push on into the mid 20's

CINPART PLC
('Cinpart' or the 'Company')
Memorandum of Understanding with Southern Electric Contracting
Cinpart plc (AIM:CINP), is pleased to announce that Active Energy Limited
("Active Energy"), its subsidiary company, has signed a Memorandum of
Understanding ("MoU") with Southern Electric Contracting Limited ("SEC") a
wholly owned subsidiary of Scottish and Southern Energy plc (LSE:SSE). The MOU
includes, amongst other things, the commercial terms relating to the marketing,
sale and installation by SEC of Active Energy's VoltageMaster product as the
preferred voltage optimisation device for its commercial clients.
Southern Electric Contracting is one of the largest mechanical and electrical
contractors in the United Kingdom operating from 63 regional offices and
employing approximately 4,000 experienced engineers and electricians nationwide.
The MOU also provides that SEC will become Active Energy's preferred
installation sub contractor.
The VoltageMaster reduces energy consumption, providing cost and associated
carbon emission reductions of, on average, 13 per cent per annum
Christopher Foster, Director of Cinpart, commented:"We are delighted that Active
Energy has signed the MoU with SEC as it will provide a significantly enhanced
sales network, helping Active Energy to reach its target market. VoltageMaster
assists businesses in meeting the targets laid down by the Government concerning
better energy management and reduction of emissions whilst also reducing their
energy bills. We look forward to working with the SEC team in order to help
them deliver part of their green energy agenda."
