3. The governments of Russia and Ecuador have been slapped with damages of US$50 billion and US$2.4 billion respectively, after losing disputes in private arbitration tribunals to Yukos and Occidental Petroleum Corporation.

At present, Germany is facing up to 4 billion Euros in damages if an investment arbitration tribunal decides in favour of Vattenfall in a dispute involving changes to national environmental policies and nuclear power plants. Indonesia is facing a US$2 billion suit from Churchill Mining.

Is the Malaysia government prepared to pay huge amounts in damages if it loses cases against foreign investors?

Quiet a few interesting snippets,too many to c+paste so best read whole article to see what you find interesting.
For me I remember when we tried to approach them before it went to ISCID to talk which they ignored.
It seems to be now that they see how serious ISCID is and that they cant wriggle out of it is that they have gone straight for the OOC with the new problems ,
Preferring to nip them in the bud.

Think it took from May 2013 jurisdiction hearing date to Feb 2014 for the jurisdiction decision .
So 9 months.

Yes debiegee, Isran definitely making himself scarce. Very little on the web about him these days. Now his wife Norbaiti Isran Noor has lost her position they can pack their bags and do a runner! Could be years in the clinker for him if ROI lose!

When I reached this 2nd article there seemed still to be no mention of him but you can see for yourselves it states anybody guilty or suspected of corruption have been replaced.

Interesting in the 1st article is this is all in Nusantra house .
Nusantra being the co that let our project go years ago and wanted it back when we found a world class find. Prawobo is their biggest shareholder and ran for president alongside Jokowi.Had he of won Noor was promised the vice president post.

No, the ICSID have a huge amount to consider - look at all the what if type legal questions that had to be addressed in addition to the questions of fact. That is the great thing about this hearing, it was like a mini version of a final hearing - if we win, what will ROI have left in their locker?

I agree totally and while we have been reminded that this is not the final hearing result that we are waiting for I feel the result here has such major implications Supposing we win and they say the final case will follow within a short span because there is not much more to talk about there may not be as much of a retrace as traders would like ?
Because of the 2nd part of your statement Im full in now just in case but if I get the chance may even buy more before the forgery result.
