Churchill was responding to an article which I have been looking for .
I agree I think they were posturing in the way of still trying to show their folk that they could win.
I have been searching for the article which Im sure stated they thought the case could be wrapped up in Jan but havnt found it.
I know the only way the case would be wrapped up is if ROI won.

I still think it interesting that they mentioned January though.
But early 2016 to me states by March April anyway so still happy with my purchases

Anyway Im really off to bed now and content to wait.

Was a report out same time as rns or presentation where ROI were quoted as saying that we were slowing things down and that they had hoped/are hoping that it would all be sorted by January.
Too tired to search been up all night working and on my way to bed.

Glad Im not trading but ROI seemed to think that decision would be known by January so very happy to hold and wait for the rerating and payout whenever ?

That is of course presuming we win and Im happy to hold !

The court when accepted to look into fraud issue, they said this will simplyfies the process. Which means, having thrown out the fraud issues, final decision should follow quickly, within one year.

Market in turmoil but no bearing on chl.
Been offline for a week and probably another but not trading. [holding]
I guess with the carnage some traders that hold multiple stocks have been hurt and some become forced sellers.

NO WAY IS 2018 DECISION SET IN STONE IMO

When Roi asked for the hearing to be held in 2 parts it was made clear by ISCID that there would be no further delays and we would stay more or less on track.
Final decision could be awarded 2016 2017 2018 or even later nobody can say IMO

And nobody should state any dates without stating that it is only their opinion.

Agreed karateboy. If the ruling is in our favour we will get paid. An ICSID ruling has wide-ranging powers including the freezing of foreign assets if the RoI refused to pay, so no worries there. In fact I'd imagine that a positive ruling will mean that RoI will be "falling over" to pay Chl as quickly as possible and get the issue out of the news ASAP. There is little doubt that the Churchill Vs RoI saga is not helpful to Indonesia's reputation. I'd suggest that IF they knew where this was going to end up they would NEVER have expropriated the asset in the first place.

After the ruling if in our favour, they will pay. They may play dirty tricks but they will pay with interest added. Having waited 4 years for the final ruling, we can wait another year to be paid with interest.

Being awarded any amount of damages is one thing; actually getting it paid is quite another (Having worked in Indonesia for four years, I speak from experience). There are plenty of other dirty tricks that will occur.

Nevertheless I would hope for the share price to rise on the hint of a forthcoming ruling let alone an actual ruling.

while its quiet,just done a few calcs,and i think its in our interest to have the court ruling to take a little longer.with the dollar getting stronger,it actually means in money terms every one cent the dollar goes up against the pound our payout would be 6 pence a share better,on a maximum payout of 1.315 billion,here,s hoping

What is a Y trade, could that be a delayed saell at mid price from first thing this morning and reported late or is it a buy on the close?
