I thought March was the date for name change. Certainly time for a bit of news to stir interest again....get on with it cgop!

Yes tomboyb, I saw you had posted about the likely seller while I was writing my last post.
For now I am sticking with companies that will pay me a dividend while I am sat waiting for something to happen. Just be careful - this time last year I was £9000 in profit on my NEW investment, and ended up a few months later selling out at a £9000 loss, all because I listened to people who were lying through their teeth.
In the last seven months I have had a lot of fun playing the dividends, and am so far £12000 up. Makes it a lot easier to sleep at night.
Interesting though that the CNEL increase yesterday was on a China/Nigeria deal.

I am really surprised that no one is actually asking who is selling. If there are 70m. shares in circulation, and we knew who holds most of them, then someone specific is selling, and I would say that someone specific is buying. It all seems very strange. I did quite a few dummy buys and sells yesterday and I never had any problem buying, and was never quoted more than 1.75p,
Selling is another matter, most of the time I couldn't sell, and when I could it was only at 1.6 or 1.5p.
CGOP go on record as saying they know of no reason for the interest ? Very strange. Personally I was expecting any new directors to be from China rather than Scarborough Group.
I have 300,000 of my 1m shares left, and I would have got out yesterday if I had been offered anything like the prices that were recorded.
As for euclid5 getting in here, well, I have a lot of respect for the man after reading his posts on NEW over the past few years, and after what happened there, I will be sticking to high yielding shares for future investments.

cgop looking challenged...maybe later! Big news coming on FML? Ex CEO predicts 8 fold (yes 8 fold!) increase in market cap by end of 2014. Sp has been battered...news due soon.

Be quick!

Its going to be about timing - CGOP has the right backers but overall the market sentiment is improving. If this the beginning cycle of a recovery then shares across the board will start appreciating.

Sentiment is currently or tech and property -

Yes thanks tomboy all you posts are very helpful. CGOP looks to have a great future IMO.

Kevin McCabe is one of 2 Executive directors of CGOP -

Majority shareholder of CGOP -

He formed and owns Scarborough Group and companies with £1bill of assets -

The idea as per last RNS - Convert name to "Scarborough Oriental Ventures" -

Will own just under 50% CGOP if he converts warrants

CGOP is currently capped at just over £1mill - so you can see what the potential upside can be -

More so - Its the fact that the market direction has also changed. Property is on the up

ok thank you for the links & data tomboyb - so getting this clear - scarboroughgroup has 20m shs in CGOP (given to them at 1p & raised £200k) & the main man behind Scarb Grp & is also a Director of CGOP?

so what is his agenda to come on board CGOP, if he is wealthy & already made the scarboroughgroup a very profitable co?

ok - lol. SEDA is for those companies that require constant funding for ongoing events.

Its not for CGOP. seda is a big no no for any stock but its for those that cannot really raise the equity - The main reason why you have heavyweight/s on board is the ability to get great projects and ability to raise finance with confidence -

On the plus side the markets generally are improving considerably on AIM and the ability to raise finance a lot easier for smaller companies than before.

CGOP is unusual because it has a very big heavyweight on board and its capped measly for the potential prospects. What those prospects are we do not know at this stage. However there could be significant upside especially from these levels.

cgop - are looking to buy back over 10mill shares but stipulate at > 1p per share - CGOP certainly is not overpromoted as can be seen by the no. of posts -
