It works for stocks and house prices not the economy.More stimulus means higher stock prices and assets.

Yes DOW can rise a bit more but we are close now - I don't see significant upside from here. Market has engineered a short squeeze, but corporate earnings are coming out in a few weeks and that will reveal an accurate picture of the economy and the stimulus comes to an end 30th June.

Paycheck protection programme, part of the condition of this stimulus was businesses had to re-hire workers, so if workers are re-hired then obviously you are going to get job creation but that doesn't mean these employees can't later get sacked after being re-hired. So hire so you don't have to pay back the stimulus, you realise demand is low and then you sack the employee you re-hired.

Fed this week, if Jobs good and economy great why need for more stimulus?

I fancy 15-20+% correction in July/August from current levels - don't think a depression will happen as Fed came to the rescue but maybe we break March lows and then rally back? Then we have the US / China tensions and whether Trump will get re-elected, loads to worry about.

A W formation for the stock market is likely IMO. I see a rally after the correction done into the US elections on hopes of Trump re-elected.

I see the decline in the DOW starting properly from around 19th June and it should last until July 20th, I am not convinced we will drop to 6814 though - Lets take each day at a time.

In Sept 1861 the usa came off a bi metal standard and went on to a fiat system in 1878 they went back on bi metal standard in 1914 they came off a gold standard to print money ie back on to a fiat system and in 1918 they cam back onto a gold standard.
In April 1933 they defaulted and came off the gold standard in Jan 1934 they revalued gold and went back on to a gold standard, In August 1971 they came off the gold standard , my date in July the 19th could be the day they go back on a gold standard.

From middle of Sept 1861 to 19th July 2020 comes to 158.852 yrs

Now if we add up all the yrs on a fiat system comes to 70.562 yrs

70.562 yrs = .44419

Now if you have read my past posts you will know .445 is very important in all my cycles.

I will stick with my cycle , the every day movements are just movements

If you look at the head and shoulder pattern which is as formed , neckline is 11377 if you double this you get 22754 - 29568 = 6814.

Also in a zig zag the time of each wave is usually equell and the consolidation can be

related ie 1 times 1.618 x 2 times and so on

we have 40 days first wave down

80 days tomorrow consolidation

2nd wave down 40 waves = 19th July

Lets see if this happens

Just look at this cycle

114 yrs cycle for earthquakes

2020.445 divided by 114 = 17.7232 this is the sq root of 314,1

Now if a really bad earthquake happens it will really spook me
