Look the real issue is UK investors are selling out of everything and there is no real long term pension money to look at uk small caps - huge redemptions as ft pointed out - over £20bn sold out of uk equities last 2 years and biggest pain is with small caps - as soon as Energean drill and flow gas they will probably buy chariot as equity so cheap - if they do onshore and retain 30% of Anchois you are looking at over £150m a year in fcf - hope all the clowns sell out

ref ENI's well. Don't recall they said much, if anything about the prospect type. But anyway it was drilled in the Tarfaya Basin about 2/3rds down Morocco's extensive coastline. A long way from Anchois. And it was believed to be targeting Jurassic Carbonates. A completely different play to Anchois. You could even say it was a win for Chariot as no new competing gas supply.

Very different play to Lixus. So probably good news for Energean and the incumbent AIM mob who will retain their importance to Morocco. I bet the French fella was hoping to jump across to ENI so he'll be gutted. Other than that aint a big deal.

A closely-watched exploration probe has been completed offshore Morocco by Eni, with all indicators suggesting the well was unsuccessful.

If confirmed, the disappointing result will be a blow to the country’s maritime exploration scene, which after decades of drilling has turned up just a solitary commercial discovery, Chariot Energy’s Anchois field, which is in the process of being developed.


Hopes were high that Eni’s Cinnamon-1X probe could have opened up a new oil play in Moroccan waters, although these expectations seem to have been dashed on the country’s geologically challenging rocks.
