Tipped again by Simon T FWIW...

Aim-traded African-focused transitional energy group Chariot (CHAR:8p) has signed a memorandum of understanding for an offtake agreement with an international energy group in respect of its flagship Anchois Gas development, offshore Morocco.

The future gas sales agreement (GSA) will be 40 million cubic feet per day (mmcfd) for up to 20 years on a take or pay principle. Analyst Jonathan Wright at house broker finnCap believes this is sufficient to underpin the economics of the project, adding that the GSA is expected to be priced in the US$7-$11 per mcf range normally seen in Morocco, and excess gas can be sold through the European spot market through the Maghreb-Europe Gas Pipeline. Given the ongoing energy crisis in Europe, I would expect EU countries to be queuing up for a reliable source of energy when first gas comes on stream in 2024, assuming all goes to plan.

Key to the project’s future is the Anchois gas appraisal well which is on track to spud in December, initially targeting an estimated 361bn cubic feet (bcf) of 2C contingent recoverable resources in high-quality reservoir A&B sands. The well may also potentially test deeper sands which contain 690bcf of 2U prospective resources. Good news on the drilling front would be highly supportive of signing up institutional lenders to finance the capital expenditure (US$350m for Anchois A and B sands) to bring the project on stream. It is also highly likely to send Chariot’s share price rocketing to narrow the massive share price discount to finnCap’s unrisked valuation of £286m (45p a share) for the Anchois A&B gas fields which is based on an US$8 per mcf gas price.

Chariot’s shares have risen 19 per cent since my last article (‘Bargain shares: An African adventure’, 28 September 2021) and the holding has produced a 155 per cent total return (TR) on my 3p a share break-even point if you have been following my recommendations since I included the shares in my 2017 Bargain Shares Portfolio. The TR is ahead of both the portfolio (142 per cent) and FTSE Aim All-Share index (45 per cent).

If you have a higher risk appetite, then the shares offer considerable upside potential in the event of positive news emerging from the Anchois appraisal well next month, albeit any disappointing news would have the reverse effect. Speculative buy.

888ICB A very good post indeed. stevedd3 says under the radar. I have been invested here for a number of years and it has always been under the radar. I agree all bodes extremely well for the future here with short medium and long term gains. I would not want to be held a hostage to fortune, so no prediction on share price short term save that it continues to move in right direction and am confident it will continue to do so.

An interesting post from another bb:

Have any other AIM listed company’s got a 10 GW , $ 15 billion Hydrogen play (the new global energy buzz concept) ) fully supported and endorsed by a sovereign state that is a reputably global best prime hydrogen production area and partnering news imminent which I suspect will be big names. ? .
Hold on here, have any AIM listers got NPV 10 of $500 mill gas project also fully supported by a sovereign state and with multiple reputable financing in place to commercialise, which will be fully proved within 8- 10 weeks and also has up to 3.5 TCF ( potential NPV 10 circa $ 1.5 billion ) upside scalability in low risk satellite reservoirs.
Oh , why we are here, why don’t we add on imminent award of a new mega licence surrounding the already discovered gas and low risk additional reservoirs that could potentially multiples more TCF of high quality gas. Any AIM listers got that imminent ?
Oh go on then, While we are at it , have any AIM listers got technical and financial backing with a super major for renewable energy supply to the entire African mining grid all gagging for cheaper and cleaner energy supply to run their operations.
Oh , and just for the dirty oilers among us , which Aimers can Chuck in 4-5 billion barrels drill ready oil prospectively in 3 countries , with nearology drilling happening within months which could significantly derisk the targets.
To end …According to timeline and management on top of all this, new projects inbound as well..

All The above is not a perfect dream wish list for a listed energy company in any bourse , it is a REALITY and the only one on AIM.
It is now time for the market to sit up , take stock and show the value. All of the above are happening with “Chariot Energy.”

As CHAR’s renewables business has a strategic partnership with a company owned by Total, they would be a possibility as they are a leading international energy group.
Up 2.5% at present as we consolidate around 8p ready for the next move up on or in anticipation of further news.

To add to the speculation who this "leading international energy group" might be, my bed is on the owners of the Tahaddart CCGT power plant, ONEE/ENDESA/Siemens. This is a Moroccan/Spanish/German consortium who are currently solely relying on Algerian imported gas to run the plant. They need 50mmscfsd for power generation so to commit to 40mmscfd, seems to fit quite well. If true, this boasts well for the share price to make a significant jump going into 2022.

Anyone another suggestion who this buyer might be?

Not a perfect market BN. Pre drill speculation and a bit of FOMO in case the drill results are a huge success. Money joins and joins and joins. Ten bagger comment is pure "promotion". 14p seems reasonable if you are a chartist. Hopefully we will all be surprised on the upside. This is a pretty big drill and one of the biggest Q4 on LSE.

Up 6.7% to 8p on volume of 1 million. Just interesting to note that we are getting back to where we were before the fall caused by the placing. In May this touched 5p so back at 8p we have seen a rise of 60% in the last 5 months.

Keep watching Brazilnut. Drilling next month and watch others jump on the train. Likely above 10p in a month which on a return over 30 days would be good even from today's value. You in around £2.00? If so you should not have held over the highly speculative drills in Namibia. Can't blame the Company....Everyone knows that on the top of every mining and oil junior is a promoter; others refer to them as lying bas*ards!
One in 10 drills are a success in pure exploration although the CHAR drill in December is an appraisal but they can occasionally disappoint too.

I am very optimistic person, and how would you know my financial position, but i cant invest in bubbles,

But i do like cycles for instance from the day the credit crunch started 9th of August 2007 to my date 2023.55 is 15.95 yrs , if you look above you will see that 11.681 is important if you cube this you get 1593.8 which is very close to 15.95

15.95 turn this into hrs = 139817 minus 1000000 = 8602

Gann is just fascinating.
