17/6/2013 22:57 | so.. soon to come is first hrt target at end of june, Char 2D seismic results at Morrocco after that (Q3 2013)... then full results from hrt Murombe drill (earliest in August 2013), followed by Tullows Mauritania drills (throughout H2 2013 which start in July 2013) and towards end of year into 2014 the remaining third party drill results (Cairn Morocco H2 2013 and Tullow Mauritania) + direct Char Mauritania 3D seismics (Nov 2013 to early 2014), by which time Char Namibia Northern and Central prospect farmins should have been completed with drilling being expected already in 2014... nice amount of news coming our way... so should one say... fingers-crossed ? or has Char completed and acted upon some exemplary strategic planning :-)) | belisce6
17/6/2013 22:50 | third party work program -2013 to early 2014 NAMIBIA; HRT 1st well(central area)= oil shows but not commercial at Wingat prospect, de-risked entire region as it showed there is oil present... HRT 2nd well(central area)= currently drilling Murombe prospect, first target to b reached end june, finish probably near end july, so earliest complete results somewhere in early august... (my interp) HRT 3rd well(southern area)= Moosehead prospect to be completed after Murombe well (I believe) REPSOL/TRP= H1 2014, drillspud Delta prospect (which is perhaps the largest prospect in the region...) MAURITANIA; TULLOW 4-well exploration program to commence in July2013 (according to Interim Management Statement in May2013) Info=4 out of 6 wells drilled so far in the region have discovered hydrocarbons (according to Dana website) MOROCCO; CAIRN drill program beginning H2 2013 (according to Interim Management Statement in May2013), 1 well over Cap Juby prospect, and 1 or 2 over Foum Draa prospect (according to May 2013 presentation) BRAZIL; (need to find out when BG Group has to drill its area...) CHAR work program -2013 to early 2014 NAMIBIA; Northern block farmout has proceeded... hoping to drill in 2014 Central block farmout will proceed Q3 2013, or after HRT 2nd drill... hoping to drill in 2014 MAURITANIA; 3D seismic to be interpreted by Nov2013, and results announced early 2014, followed by farmout process... however potential for farmout agreement well before then... MOROCCO; 2D seismic... results any time now !! because statements indicated that 3D would be planned in Q3 2013 once 2D results were in... BRAZIL; preparations for seismic to be done in late 2014, and fixing portaloos for reconaissance work | belisce6
17/6/2013 22:36 | geez looking at the chart, if this one was to move upwards due to good news, u would expect some kind of explosion effect :-)) | belisce6

17/6/2013 14:22 | no idea... ruffly in parallel to the time CHAR has to do seismic... gotta look this stuff up... dont have time today... but decent comments nevertheless... potential transformational stuff on 4 fronts... | belisce6

13/6/2013 07:31 | HRT has said Baobab is between the two proven source rocks in their Spud-In NR, I have asked them per email if this was correct, here is what they have answered: Thank you for your e-mail. You are correct. Baobab is above 2 proven source rocks and above a 3rd, uproven source rock. In order to avoid any misunderstandings, we will adjust the information in the press release. , ok, there is no source rock above Baobab, both proven are below & can charge the reservoir with huge amounts of oil, the chance of success for Baobab should have increased a lot, since Joe Paul said in the CC: -------------------- Initially we felt very strongly that reservoir was not a high risk in these wells, we had excellent seismic data with excellent responses that indicated to us clear environments of depositions and depositional models, since of seismic we felt reservoir was not a significant risk, we had such large prospects in the wingat well we had the concern that the generative potential of the source rock would not be sufficient to fill these structures all the way up with billions of barrels of oil, the results of the wingat well have shown us that the play element that we had the least risk on witch is reservoir actually came out to have the greatest risk we found very little porosity in the wingat well, on the other hand the source potential we had shown and we had proven has significant generative potential to create huge volumes of oil in the walvis basin and charge our prospects as we continue with our exploration program, one final comment, generally reservoirs and porosity are very easy to find and so that shouldn't be the big concern, whereas source rock, charge and migration pathways can be very difficult, in this case WE FOUND THE HARD STUFF BUT NOT THE EASY STUFF, SO I WOULD SAY WITH OUR FUTURE EXPLORATION WELLS THE CHANCE OF FINDING RESERVOIR IS VERY HIGH AS WE ALWAYS SEE RESERVOIR IN ANY BASIN WE DRILL IN AROUND THE WORLD -------------------- let's hope Baobab is the easy one now.. 12/6/2013 12:26 | Namibia HRT Baobab ETA JUNE 29th June 11, 2013 By Helioschariot 1 Comment Chariot Oil & Gas UPDATED 12th June If we presume a drill speed of 80M drill per day as seen here And if we agree the depth is 3670 m as announced here - with a spud date of June 1st AND a Depth from SEA Level to the spud point as pointed out to me in the comments (thanks ever so much). Then by my calculations we are looking at 29 days to hit the first of three targets Baobaob which means approx. June 30th. Of course the drillers might see some signs earlier in the drill process. Milton will be watching it very closely! | ![]() moneymunch
12/6/2013 12:02 | Interesting Mario...you had better tell HC... looks like you are right HRT expects the well to encounter the Baobab at 3,670 m (12,040 ft) below sea level and the Murombe reservoir at 5,090 m (16,699 ft) below sea level. Drilling is expected to last 72 days. | hedgebetter
12/6/2013 10:45 | No No Hedgy. Boabab is 3670 meters below sea level in 1391 meters of water. Actual drilling is 2279 meters and at 80 m per day is 28 days so I am looking for signs end of June onwards. | ![]() mariopeter
11/6/2013 19:22 | possible oil shows a lot sooner Hedgebetter, HRT, CHAR and TRP all had a surge in share price within 2 weeks of the wingat well spud.....and so we could have something similar with the shallower Baobab Reservoir. GL HRT Wingat During drilling, the depth of water was 1,050 meters. Now from 1,500 metres, that is, entering 500 m surface sediments, we started to have major anomalies showing that there was gas coming into the blade. This gas may even have a biogenic origin, but soon began to appear, C2 really mature of gas oil. | ![]() moneymunch
11/6/2013 17:06 | Nonsense. Anyway July 15th approx. for the Baobab Oil Strike.. hxxp://www.helioscha I agree that Larry and cohorts should buy as soon as they can...and they said as much at the AGM. The only thing stopping them can be market sensitive information that prevents them. | hedgebetter |
