Guys I have a charting question if any of you can help...

when drawing support/resistance lines, and using GKP as an example, do chartists use the intraday values or only the opening/closing prices? On the GKP chart, if one uses the candlestick chart for 6 months, there are two very large intraday drops which are brought into play when plotting the rising trend, and these result in an apex somewhat lower than if these intraday lows were ignored.

For the downtrend, which forms the apex, I've taken the recent from c. 295 rather than the steeper one which comes from the recent high of c.450p.

Help / advice much appreciated.

Its just a normal pullback from the primary trend ( that remains intact ) . The uptrend will probably resume tomorrow. IMHO

Hi Adonis, can you look at PTR short term, say to July? I know long term you said it was looking good, it does seem to need some news and at 9.125p is only 1p off the year low
