Hi Andonis good call on DOW hope u made afew,I did on FTSE earlier n thought no way they havin it back,ah well,gonna hav to upgrade on ADVFN just to do some decent charts like you. ;o)

oh next expiry date gonna be a big 1 in Oct so I hear 20th? big down day?

You try to fit an elliptical curve (easily using ADVFN chart tool as I do) to more than 3 'pivot' points in historic prices of a share or index. When you do this, you will find more points some of them future whch will fit later in time, so in some way 'predictably'.
When the circle is 'full' and tight and the future evolving price has to 'break' the circle, this normally can happen dramatically either by jumping up or down.
When price touches the periphery of a circle, it can bounce..The larger circles are more important longer term, like they are higher order...smaller circles hold for short term, but provided they do not interfere with larger ones....etc etc are some properties of those circles. Finally, when you add to the circles support lines and fibbos then hey presto! you have power!.....

The blue circle was posted on 23rd Sept if you remember....


Now this has evolved as follows: (I keep the blue circle for reference)....the black circle is a SUPPORT circle....The red one now gives us clues as to whats going to happen....it has no option to open low Monday....then rise later....

ty Adonis. were on same wave-length, albeit via two different charting methods.

i think the do will hit a low well past its current low at ~10,426, perhaps hitting around the 9k mark on capitulation day... rather than ~8k as you point out, but, nonetheless, we're headed down. thats when ill buy back in to the markets
