10/8/2010 23:32 | watch out for 11064 level on Dow! ;) p.s. FTSE has been actually leading Dow, not lagging. | ![]() navyan
10/8/2010 23:01 | Well I look at FTSE but I am glad I use the DOW charts for trading the DOW... I am glad you dont trade the dow using S&P. I do look for correlations but not all the time. | ![]() andonis
10/8/2010 22:59 | I don't think it would be stupid at all. If I was trading I would look for correlation as some indicies lag one another etc e.g. ftse lags dow etc I'm surprised you just look at a sandalone chart of the DOW. | ![]() invisage
10/8/2010 22:53 | Invi I use the Dow because I trade the Dow. It would be stupid to use the S&P and trade the Dow. ;-) | ![]() andonis
10/8/2010 22:52 | This could easily go to 10700 tomorrow and Thursday to jump to 10730. | ![]() andonis
10/8/2010 22:45 | USD/CAD has 'touched' the important Fib level and retraced. is it just the conincidence with today's Feb news and the bounce of the index? --------------- This Daily chart shows the correlation between this USD/CAD and Dow Jones30 index: and they are both at the critical level atm, Dow is under resistance 10766, and USD/CAD is above the support 1.0247. So when they break these level from either direction would give a clear signal of where the market wants to go next! for reference: this is USD/CAD with SPX500: ----------------- for reference: this is USD/CAD with SPX500: | ![]() navyan
10/8/2010 22:41 | Ando For each dow chart you analyse I think you should analyse a S&P chart and see if there is correlation. Just looking at one cart provides fase signals. The S&P is a better indicator to use TA IMO. | ![]() invisage
10/8/2010 22:21 | Kim.......you cannot use excel spreadsheet, in html, but you can use tables. | ![]() andonis

10/8/2010 12:45 | Hello Andonis I think volumes bring out another dimension on TA. If you have time, could you post a quarterly FTSE chart from 2003 with volumes? Sorry, must sound awful, but I'm not familiar with posting charts in advfn. | ![]() experiment
