25/4/2010 16:43 | Thanks, again, Andonis. I did not know about the Cobra blog. It looks a very good one. I have now bookmarked it. I have become increasingly interested in seasonal trading, so the "bullish Monday" pattern caught my eye. I like the way Cobra is using the CBOE below 0.81 as another confirming signal. I shall monitor this trade set up for the foreseeable future, probably playing around with some small trades. For anyone else interested in seasonal investing, I strongly recommend the free Thackray monthly market newsletter. There are no catches but you do need to register in order to access it. Thackray also publishes an annual Seasonal Investor's Guide. I bought the 2010 edition and have found it well worth the money. I shall buy next year's edition, too. Info about both can be found at alphamountain.com | ![]() saucepan

25/4/2010 14:04 | Hi Andonis I have just discovered your thread. It looks a very interesting one, though I have still to trawl back a long way. The two most recent posts caught my attention in particular. Post 3415: what precisely is the set up you look for to trigger a Monday long trade? When are you entering? Just before close of trading on Friday, start of spread bet trading on Sunday, or actual market open on Monday? Post 3414: where do you get your CPC data from, at what time, and again when would you place the trade if the signals are telling you to go long? I looked for some sources of further info through the links in your header. I guessed that Tom Hougard's site might be the most promising one, but it looks like this is no longer active. Thanks for sharing your research and ideas. | ![]() saucepan

23/4/2010 12:54 | Today's chart presents the median single-family home price divided by the price of one ounce of gold. This results in the home / gold ratio or the cost of the median single-family home in ounces of gold. For example, it currently takes 153 ounces of gold to buy the median single-family home. This is considerably less that the 601 ounces it took back in 2001. When priced in gold, the median single-family home is down 75% from its 2001 peak and remains well within the confines of its five-year accelerated downtrend. | ![]() navyan

22/4/2010 23:11 | Dow 11580 should be reached. very short term, it should dip first and followed by a big leg up, so if swing trade, safer to look for a long entry rather than a short, but it could dip first, repeat what it did earlier this year. | ![]() navyan
