17/9/2009 08:06 | Yes its an LSE ruling... if you see an AIM or any company with a holding or more than 30% it will be pre-listing a classic example is the privatisations in the 80's when BT floated inititially the government kept a golden holding that was in excess of 30%... You will see this on AIM shares with directors holdings or hedge funds eg RAB capital | darklord2

17/9/2009 08:03 | Does the 30% rule apply to AIM companies as well? There seem to be lots of them about with individuals holding a lot more than 30% | ![]() boonboon
17/9/2009 07:59 | Sorry geng but as someone who has sat his FSA exams this is a fact!!! | darklord2
17/9/2009 07:56 | DarLord2 - WRONG !!!! If what you say is correct then why hasn't Dan Gertler made a bid ???? "CAMEC's biggest shareholder is Israeli-based resources investor Dan Gertler, with a holding of about 35 percent" If the Chinese did a deal with him then the deal is off and the share price will be much higher than 20p | geng
17/9/2009 07:45 | You cant buy a 35% stake you can only buy 29.99% after that you have to bid for the company | darklord2

17/9/2009 07:29 | Morning all, this is the first bid we have seen, rarely does any one accept the first Bid. Let them kick the tyres , take a sharp intake of breath etc. This is the bid they are "mulling." For one part I am glad there is the interest there, but this is only the start. Hope it goes well , espeially for the longs. G.L | spike33

17/9/2009 06:55 | ....which also says others need to be a bit sharpish about putting in any counter bids as we might recommend it.. | nicolato3
17/9/2009 06:52 | Gordon Thompson, Camec's chief operating officer, said the board would discuss the potential offer at a meeting on Monday. He also said that ENRC would be a "good match" and praised the Kazakh company's management. "ENRC is a large diversified operator, it runs very, very successful operations in Kazakhstan and in Africa," Mr Thompson said. | timbuck2
17/9/2009 01:50 | ENRC sure got a lot of gall. | zangdook
17/9/2009 00:22 | ENRC will not walk away from this. If they can get this for 20p plus a little bit for a haggle - say 22p - they will be delighted. They are unlikely not to proceed with an offer at this stage imho. | ![]() dealy
16/9/2009 23:13 | i think the bottom minimum is 20p guys its there in black n white , green and perhaps also blue.....all this talk of 16p tomorrow is laughable this will be 19-19.75 and staggering there for a while until monday. why would mm's tank this to 16p when its clear they would then be sold back for 20p????? on the other hand remember cfm announced they had bid approach when share price was 11/12p so back then enrc n cfm may have agreed 20p as cfm board would have thought thats almost double current price (11p) of the 20p offer.....whether a counter bid comes or not we shall wait to see but just speculation of counter is sometimes enough to send the share price spiking higher.....just my thoughts not ramping or deramping before any smart ones acuse me of doing so | timbuck2

16/9/2009 22:31 | But look where it came down from. | topinfo
16/9/2009 22:22 | Primrose...Nice choice words but made me chuckle all the same. I totally agree with you though, this 20p being offered is not a starting bid, its in advanced talks and these are near completion and all shareholders are getting is 20p max. I wouldnt be surprised if that even got revised down also. The management have stitched up shareholders yet again and are not to be trusted. This will hit 16p 2moro...No incentives for anyone to hold now. I am glad of Todays RNS coz have sold up and can move on elsewhere and actually make some money as this has been 18-20p weeks now and fallen behind general mkt Rally.!!!! | topinfo
16/9/2009 20:58 | Top - not sure about that. The fact that a bid is confirmed is likely to get others a bit more interested isn't it? Salty | ![]() saltaire111 |
