23/1/2019 08:25 | Potential fundraising for GCP Asset Backed Income Fund (GABI). Cenkos are currently sole broker... The Board of GCP Asset Backed, which invests in asset backed loans, today announces that it is considering a possible equity raise during the first quarter of 2019. Any fund raise would be used to repay monies drawn down by the Company under its revolving credit facility as well as take advantage of a continued pipeline of attractive investment opportunities identified by Gravis Capital Management Limited... | speedsgh
11/1/2019 20:51 | Very good points QuePassa - what's your view then please, albeit speculative... Takeover being agreed, MBO or something more sinister? | topvest
11/1/2019 08:34 | Loss of mandate. Cenkos have been replaced by Canaccord Genuity as Nomad & sole broker to IG Design Group (IGR)... Appointment of Nomad and Broker (8/1) - | speedsgh
10/1/2019 13:21 | I just hope that you are right QP. I wait with baited breath. | lord gnome
10/1/2019 09:58 | In my opinion only, Cenkos owe shareholders and the market a detailed and rapid explanation as to why: 1. All three of the top management team of Chairman, Chief Executive and CFO have announced they are leaving the company within such a short time-frame (as this would in my view seem unlikely to be purely coincidental). 2. Why it is taking such a long time for Jim Durkin's approval from The FCA to come through. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
09/1/2019 21:40 | Yes. Good points being made that might also explain the rather odd trading update. I would accept £1 at this point in the cycle. Below that level would be a poor deal for shareholders. | topvest
09/1/2019 20:58 | QuepassaWhat do u think?R u of the view consolidation and bids may be forthcoming or r u thinking something more sinister?? | mattboxy
08/1/2019 10:12 | You may well be right QP, but I just wish that the share price could be a bit higher before the bid came in. At the current 67p we'll be very lucky if a bid comes in at around a £1. I might be alright on my recent additions / top ups but my core holding is longer in the tooth and well under the water. I can't see a bid coming in that would top 120p and enable me to get my cash back. Bah! | lord gnome
28/12/2018 15:02 | 120p would do me too. | arthur_lame_stocks
28/12/2018 13:03 | I know CNKS is a thinly traded stock and that today is probably one of the thinnest trading days of the year, but even so, to move up so strongly on such paltry volume does lend support to QP's view of something being afoot. I live in hope. I need 120p please. | lord gnome
24/12/2018 18:10 | I wouldn’t be impressed at any form of corporate activity at this time. Fair point though as it would explain the bizarre trading update. Maybe someone is sniffing around? | topvest
24/12/2018 18:08 | It’s a Regulator. Do they do anything quickly? | topvest
24/12/2018 08:17 | On 5th November, Cenkos issued an RNS saying that Jim Durkin is to be appointed Chief Executive "ONCE REGULATORY APPROVAL HAS BEEN RECEIVED" from the FCA. Does it really take so long, some 7 weeks so far, to get regulatory approval for someone as well known as Jim Durkin - who anyway was previously in this same role? That's unless there may or may not be something else afoot. ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
21/12/2018 07:42 | Small raise announced this morning by Marlowe The Company will raise £7 million in gross proceeds (approximately £6.8 million net of expenses) through the Placing of the Placing Shares at the Issue Price through Cenkos Securities plc ("Cenkos") | tanneg
21/12/2018 07:21 | Important sector news today. New RNS this morning at Numis. Well known City financier, Michael Spencer, declares a 3.41% stake in Numis via his private investment vehicle IPGL Limited. Further evidence of a consolidating sector ripe for more M&A activity. See today's Numis RNS for full details ALL IMO. DYOR. QP | quepassa
20/12/2018 09:50 | Loss of mandate. Cenkos have been replaced by Canaccord Genuity as Nomad & sole broker to Comptoir Group (COM). Cenkos helped bring Comptoir to market at its IPO in Sept 2017. Change of Adviser - | speedsgh
19/12/2018 17:56 | Lord gnome. Absolutely agree with you...spot on. Who knows what market expectations were or are for Cenkos? It’s certainly not available to the likes of you and me. Anyway I’m also encouraged. They will hopefully get back on track, and this RNS is really just a don’t worry...the wheels are not falling off and we are still profitable sort of RNS. Confident that Cenkos will bounce back under his more entrepreneurial leadership. | topvest
19/12/2018 17:54 | Odd that they issued the RNS at 3.50pm and not the usual 7am. Why rush it out then instead of tomorrow morning? And agree......it doesn’t tell investors much, but it’s better than bad news. | kenmitch
19/12/2018 16:18 | ... deals look to be shy of £1 Billion this year not great .. was waiting for 52p to buy in again ... took 77p from 73p on the announcement of the return of Jim coming back and in again now at 67p .... So 6p dividend gives 9% which is fine .... Reckon Jim will look to offload the business and re-retire. | keith95
19/12/2018 16:08 | Yes, speedsgh. Current market expectations were for sweet fa so it could mean anything. Still, I'm relieved to see this RNS, especially after that nasty little tree shake this morning. I can't believe that wasn't contrived. | lord gnome |
