Vat bill bigger than expected so disappointing, but at least it's over.
Hope it can rise from here but the market is a drag on the share price

BOOM in my humble opinion. VAT issue sorted, removes material uncertainty IMO so CLL can move on. be interesting what if any recovery it could get from clients against the £2.1m and at least there is tax relief as well. DYOR but IMO this should start motoring towards the broker TP now!

But what are those costs and are they normal practice to be excluded vis-a-vis peer group? VAT issue IMO is the biggie to get out of the way....nice to see some buyers returning post latest VAT update and share price start to recover again IMO

Seems a pretty fair appraisal of the situation.

'The other issue which weighs against a rerating is the amount of exceptional items in the income statement. There is a VAT dispute which has yet to be settled. But even if we exclude the provisions related to that genuine ‘one-off’; issue, other charges reduce £10 million of ‘adjusted̵7; pre-tax profit to just £6.1 million. It was a similar story the year before, when an ‘adjusted̵7; £9.4 million fell to £5.9 million after accounting for the extra costs.
For the rerating to happen, we need to see these exceptionals fall away and the growth rate step up. This latter is possible with the investments in the US, the restructuring in Signal and the emergence of Pulsar. But the market will want to see more evidence first.'

I've been in and out of CLL for a few years too now. As market cap is about 7/8 times PBT- and they've started 2016 well too apparently- don't we agree that CLL should break 100 comfortably and keep on motoring for a bit yet? And/or get taken over ? Good luck all holders.

Good results...been in and out of these for 2 years and unfortunately currently out. I will watch with interest, if they drop a little I might buy but if they go up very good luck...especially to QS99 who talks to himself!!.

net debt down to £4m that is material.....10% increase in divi also meaningful and decent start to trading year. IMO this will get taken out in due course.....happy to continue to hold....
