                    ISSUE OF EQUITY AND NOTICE OF INTERESTS



The Directors of Capital Ideas plc are pleased to announce that it has completed
a placing of 44,181,600 new ordinary shares of 0.1 pence each (the "Placing
Shares") at a price of #0.25 pence each raising in total #110,454.

The Company is planning to utilise these funds in order to take advantage of new
investment opportunities within the 'turnaround' market. Capital Ideas has
already identified, and is conducting due diligence on, a number of suitable
investments and is hopeful of making its next investment in the near future.



The shares have been placed with the following parties:

Application has been made for the Placing Shares and the New Shares to be
admitted to trading on AIM on 11 September 2007 ("Admission").

In addition, the Company has issued 6,843,392 new ordinary shares of 0.1 pence
each to SVS Securities plc in lieu of agreed corporate broking fees (the "New
Shares").

Following Admission, the Placing Shares and the New Shares will rank pari passu
in all respects with the existing issued ordinary shares of 0.1 pence each in
the Company.

The total number of ordinary shares in issue following the Placing Shares and
New Shares will be 287,177,547.

Speaking today, Renwick Haddow, Chairman of Capital ideas stated: "We are
pleased to announce today's placing which will enable us invest in the
opportunities we are currently seeing. We are confident that we will continue to
identify suitable opportunities and make investments with the potential to
increase shareholder value. As an indication of my belief in the Company I have
personally invested #50,000 into new shares and I look forward to announcing the
details of our next transaction at the earliest opportunity"
