I make it up 8% in Oz at close. you can add it to your advfn monitor asx:cfe
I am looking for ~45p counting options and shares and cash. Anyone holding this long term has had a real rollercoaster ride and we might see some resistance at this level on the leading market in Oz.

SP went to 32p on the back of the Ding deal which then failed so I see that as a risked price that the market is happy with. That deal was worth AU$250m for a 70% stake which valued the project at AU$350m.

The new MCC deal is worth AU$400m for 100% so we are getting an extra AU$50m as I see it over the Ding deal although we must have spent more since and also feel this deal carries much less risk than Ding who was trying to get funding in a bad market. MCC are cash rich and already in the area.

Divina it was my understanding there was an upfront payment of AU$2m as a deposit in the previous deal, 750k of which was non refudable although I cant remember the legal costs involved and whether they were carried by Ding.

Stenmis,

"So certainly upside but not quite as straightforward as it seems."

Anyone got some numbers to put with this? How much upside is reasonable?

Nice to read some reasoned comment on a bb for a change.

CFE seems keen to notify that all is on track this time round. Looks like no messing about from MCC.

SteMiS:> Excellent note. If you are not already in the City you should be - Far better than most analysts notes that I see.

nice work SteMis

just add to that MCC have already paid $5 million up fron so they are very serrious about securing the deal where the previous Chinese deal had no upfront payment.

40% gain from here would be very nice. Do i buy more is the question. hmmmm
