Yes, a good disposal. Hopefully, 2014 will be a good year for disposals at Candover. EXPRO is the big one which drives a lot of the value here, but other upsides certainly help.

RNS out and Innovia SALE bought by ELTA ?
The sale of Innovia is the last actively managed asset in the Candover 2001
Fund and will generate estimated cash proceeds of EUR12.8 million, together with
carried interest of EUR7.6 million for Candover Investments plc. This represents
a 15% uplift on the valuation of Candover's investment in Innovia at 31st
December 2013.

CDI will be pleased with this news.

The 5-year contract, worth almost $100m, will see Expro provide completion landing string equipment and services for the installation and completion of Shah Deniz Stage 2 subsea wells, covering 24 new subsea completions.

Candover Investments plc
Preliminary unaudited results for the year ended 31st December 2013
 NAV per share of 715p at 31st December 2013, an 18% increase compared to the prior year
(31st December 2012: 608p).
 Portfolio valuations up 21% over the year (160p) primarily driven by valuation
improvements (154p) as well as favourable foreign currency movements (6p).
 Portfolio performance continues to improve with aggregate portfolio revenues growing
3% and EBITDA 4% year on year
 Increase in value at Expro International of £41 million (188p) reflects continued trading
improvement, with revenues and earnings well ahead of prior year.
• Successful refinancing of US private placement loan notes. Maturity extended by over
one year and adverse impact of holding high cash balances eliminated.
 Net debt – increased to £47.7 million at 31st December 2013 (31st December 2012: £26.7
million). Increase reflects the impact of operating costs, financing costs and one-off cash
impact of refinancing Candover's debt, including make whole. Corresponding impact on the
loan-to-value ratio which rose to 25.4% (31st December 2012: 18.1%).

All this activity with GET/DX/OnO is very nice of course; however together they account for just c5% of the portfolio! What I'm impatient for is equivalent news from the Expro/Parques/Stork/Technogym quartet which together account for 87% of the portfolio.

It was reported last November that innovia films was up for sale and had a possible deal on the horizon. The article comments that a deal may be timed after the new bank of England contract had been agreed.

Last week innovia restructured its debt with a 250m euro bond issue and it is reported on the innovia website that they have just agreed the B.O.E. contract, it may be reasonable to assume that a deal will therefore be forthcoming.

The figure mentioned would seem to be at a premium to book value and after the sale of ono it would complete the realization of the candover 2001 fund , which has innovia as its sole remaining investment.
