03/11/2011 05:32 | battlebus the carbon advisory business is fairly straightforward. the project investment business is conceptually no problem, although the corporate structures do make the detail hard to follow. the one I struggle with is the project development business. I have probably not spent enough time getting to the bottom of it, but if you have any brief explanation of how it works it would be much appreciated. | qvg
02/11/2011 23:16 | Hi davidosh good to see you are a holder here even if it is minimal. Lucky you! You're certainly right about corporate governance. Lets see what happpens to this given the present shareprice-As part of Camco's existing Long Term Incentive Plan, Scott McGregor (CEO) and Yariv Cohen (President) have each been awarded 2,750,000 Ordinary Shares at nominal value which may vest between now and 30 September 2012 should certain future share price and operational performance targets set by the board be met. They also don't have an contact email address which i have mentioned to management on several occasions. You maybe a little harsh on them reference the shareprice as in my opinion they are doing all the right things by diversifying and with a cash pile to back them up. At some point the carbon markets will recover meantime their other investments are key. Not sure how they tie up with the newly set up company AGpower or what profit share /stake we own. qvg which part of the business do you not understand? | battlebus2
02/11/2011 22:29 | They would be a very good candidate...Mello is pretty booked up though for next two months including the Mello Central event on 1st December in London. I may arrange something but in fairness with an Agm in two weeks I will use that to get to know them and decide if they are worth investing and if they have any merit to a bigger presentation. I actually told the chairman that they should provide a presentation at the AGM so that should be a good warm up. | davidosh
02/11/2011 21:52 | david, In additions to the concerns you list, I also need to understand the business better before buying more. From posts on this board earlier this year, I am not the only one who does not really understand the model. Would they be a good candidate for a Mello event? | qvg
02/11/2011 19:56 | I am trying to arrange a few things so that I can attend. There are quite a few issues here than need resolving IMO before contemplating increasing my minimal investment but I am certainly watching this one closely. The AGM is six months late btw and corporate governance needs monitoring. There is no finance director for one thing and the non execs including the non exec chairman paid themselves over £300k last year. Do not ask what the execs received in cash on top of massive options as you will feel ill !? That was 2010 when shareholders got nil dividend and nil growth in the share price !! Shocking, truly shocking. Now look at the share price. As the carbon price and markets have collapsed I am sure they will be pleased to give back their cash bonuses....Errrr | davidosh
02/11/2011 19:11 | Wouldn't be sure we have hit the bottom just yet. | battlebus2
02/11/2011 19:05 | Peel Hunt had a strong sell view @13.88 back in Sept with 10p target. Well under now. | aishah
02/11/2011 17:58 | david Unfortunately I can not attend, will you go? | qvg
02/11/2011 15:53 | Camco Agm on the 16th. Anyone going to attend ? | davidosh
02/11/2011 10:59 | at this rate we would be near to cash level if it drifts another penny or so, crazy | empirestate
01/11/2011 09:58 | I would expect to see a carbon project development update before the AGM on the 16th. This lot appear to have been extremely busy during the course of the year so hopefully this should be filtering through to the bottom line. | empirestate
31/10/2011 10:49 | picked up a small lot here today for starters, can buy well with spread | empirestate
18/10/2011 18:07 | Yes Rivaldo thanks i know only too well but hope other areas will balance it a little and maybe a shining knight will appear. I believe Camco has more than sufficient resources to see it through. Hope i'm right continuing to hold. | battlebus2
18/10/2011 17:53 | thanks rivaldo. | humbugg
10/10/2011 15:27 | Down 5% on tiny volume I back in for some more. Last time the stock was this low I made 100% profit. People don't seem to get this stock or sector, but who cares if you are making money? | ch1ck
09/10/2011 10:34 | Yep could have sold at 23p but holding for much more should it take ten years. Carbon prices will return again although this is only part of the business the market seems blind to that fact. A fabulous price to add imv. | battlebus2
04/10/2011 18:27 | qvg i understand enough to allow me to trade lol. | battlebus2
04/10/2011 10:25 | battlebus don't think we can blame the fall on your lack of understanding! | qvg
02/10/2011 18:20 | qvg doubt if i'm the best man for that job given the recent shareprice. | battlebus2
21/9/2011 15:23 | battlebus2 I am still trying to understand Camco's recent Interim results. At least they have now put in an indirect cashflow, which makes it slightly less difficult. Would you be happy to answer a few questions to help me grasp how the business works? | qvg
21/9/2011 11:19 | valuation seems crazy | aughton 3
21/9/2011 07:48 | Two nice contract wins announced this morning worth 1.8 million over three years. | battlebus2
19/9/2011 11:53 | Worth noting that the cash in the balance sheet represents over 50% of the market cap, meaning that, excluding this cash, the PE is about 3 - extraordinary for a growth business? | dennis russell |
