It’s been a fantastic few weeks. I’ve had numerous doublers over the years, but rarely has the rise been so swift. I’ve also had numerous doublers which have rapidly fallen back.

I’ve therefore taken 80% off the table over the last 10 days. Either, the IPO pricing was wildly wrong, the trading conditions faced by CLX have altered materially or the share price has got ahead of itself. IMV it’s the latter, so I expect to be buying back in lower in a few weeks time. If the euphoria continues, then great - I won’t kick myself as very happy to have had Christmas paid for this year! GLA.

Getting pretty close to a 100% return here for me. Given I bought in about 5 weeks ago its been one of my best ever investments. I do wonder how many that got in at the IPO will think about locking some profits in too.

A good opportunity to top up if that happens.

Average daily volume since the IPO has been circa 400,000. This mornings volume was already 150,000 by 9.30 and these were mostly Buys. Could see some profit taking in due course since the shareprice is already up by 120% since the IPO that was only 60 days ago ! :o)

Good to see 100p up now - and buying coming in at the full 102p offer price.

This company is at the threshold of a niche market with exponential growth where barriers are high: 5G testing. One cannot miss having such gem in his/her portfolio.
5G is a must to cope with Data volume and growth.
The results are a precursor of what'll be next: How big is its share of the new 5G market.

excellent presentation, I am Italian and I struggle with comprehension sometimes, but if you go on youtube and activate the subtitles (and in my case you set the speed at 0.75), then following the presentation is a breeze.

cannot believe I had bought 10k at 54 (if I remember) and sold just a week or less later.

Back with 10k at 0.99

I have thrown away the key to log in to my trading account.

I will be back at 500p. ;-)

Looking well set and pleased others draw the same conclusions as I do on the CEO.
Reminds me a bit of David Braben (accent aside) very passionate about the business, hands on and a vision to really grow beyond the current base.

Rivaldo, well-spotted. This is certainly the kind of institution that could book sizable orders with Calnex in the future.

The Government will today announce the creation of and funding for a “National Telecoms Lab”, which will be “a secure research facility that will bring together operators, existing and new suppliers, academia and the government to create representative networks in which to research and test new ways of increasing security and interoperability”.

I'd have thought this could be good news for CLX as a and perhaps the leading UK supplier of telecoms testing and measuring equipment:

Rip roaring performance here, you may like to consider another 5G stock , Ethernity Networks, just £10m mkt cap, pursuing new market opportunities.

This is an opportunity to get in very close to the ground floor.

ENET are pursuing new growth avenues in 5 G network, enabling the network , and providing what could be a key part of the physical processing power and software for low latency and super super fast speed, that will be required.

Correct me if im wrong but this is to enable greater flexibility and connectivity between different systems and allowing greater integration in the future, is a disaggregated environment.

Good luck for the future in all your investments. Aim is high risk so dont forget that folks.

Fwiw that’s not really a special offer, any new subscribers pay £130

I bought in here the morning (first thing) after it was tipped and paid 58p. So you don’t often get anywhere near the tip price. Having said that, I’ve made 50% in two months and even at my modest investment sizes (typically 5-6k in any smaller co) it’s been well worth it. Had some poor performances too.

Only came across this yesterday evening, looks like one with bags of potential. Reluctant to buy in after a 108% rise recently though!!

A few snippets:
- management seems to have a roadmap for the introduction of new products, which justifies the hiring of new R&D people.
- Last year FY revenue weighting was c. 45/55 between H1/H2. Outlook reflects conservative management view that some clients might have pre-ordered in H1 because of concerns with budget cuts or supply chain issues later in the year. On the other hand, some clients might have delayed orders into H2 because of ongoing uncertainty in H1.
- I got the feeling that their product is critical for clients. Some clients might not need to purchase more than 1 or few units, but they will continue to spend on software upgrades in the future. Because of that, (just my opinion) at some point the revenue growth rate might slow down but if that happens gross margins should increase.
- Travel-related cost savings in H1: c. 0.3m.
Well done Tommy!

About an hour ago somebody paid 100p for 10,000 Calnex shares. That price represents a 108% increase on the IPO price just over 5 weeks ago. This has been an amazingly successful IPO thus far !

The CEO is interviewed here:

He notes that "savings in travel and events costs due to Covid-19 restrictions .....would be replicated in part in the second half of the year", despite Cenkos' new forecasts not allowing for any savings being made in H2.

TC also confirms that the pandemic had "no impact", and that there are "no worries" about Brexit.

In summary:

"The need for new test instrumentation is being driven by the transition of the telecoms industry to 5G, along with exponential growth in data creation and the migration of industries to cloud computing."

Covered in Investor's Champion's latest update a business generating operating margins of 30% and a similar return on equity, supporting a growing market looks highly appealing.
