On 29 December 2000 Cadbury Schweppes Group Trustees Limited, a wholly owned
subsidiary of Cadbury Schweppes plc, as trustee of the Cadbury Schweppes plc
Qualifying Employee Share Ownership Trust (the "QUEST") acquired by subscription
a total of 45,235 Ordinary Shares of 12.5p each in Cadbury Schweppes plc for an
aggregate sum of #92,650.05. These shares will be held by QUEST to satisfy
options granted under the Company's Savings-Related Share Option Scheme and
which are due to become exercisable in accordance with the rules of the Scheme.
As potential beneficiaries under the QUEST, each Executive Director of Cadbury
Schweppes plc is treated as being interested in all shares acquired by the
QUEST. As at close of business on 2 January 2001 the QUEST holds a balance of
45,235 shares in the Company.
