He’s admitting that lithium battery suppliers can react and meet the tight deadlines posed. Which is another way of saying the deployment of VRFB’s is too slow. Well we knew that anyway. The Vametco minigrid is taking years with no end date published. Then look ar how long it took to deploy and repair one VRFB container at ESKOM before being switched off after just 4 months. Unsupported by the manufacturer and obsolete. The replacement has been sitting at the docks for 15 months.

Why would anyone choose VRFB’s particularly with BE involved?

There’s also no mass producer anywhere. Even Rongke stated that their expansion plans were being scaled back.

These guys after talked for 5 years and delivered sweet FA.

Mikhail posting on LinkedIn about Eskom tenders "Nikomarov anticipated that most of the hybrid projects would employ lithium-ferro-phosphate batteries". WTF is going on here

Just for you Patt.

Using Bollingers standard deviation of 2, we can see how reliably BMN reverses from either an overbought or oversold position and most recently has bounced off the over bought twice before today on the current channel. This morning was a worry as it traded right past it but you can see from the chart that it quickly recovered to sit right on the oversold marker rather than below it.

If this current pattern does breakdown then i expect it go as low as 15p, I'm not in for much and will probably hold either way but I expect an attack on 20p again in the near term.

BMN come on....you are the laggard in my crew:

ITX up 60% in 2 days having already doubled
AGL rising and ready to fly having doubled.
MCRO rising every day having doubled

BMN....pottering around the garden shed.

JC I'm a simple creature who gets exited when I win money. If I don't, I won't blame BMN or Fortune because it's my own money and my own decision; Plus I probably couldn't already think any less of Fortune and the Batteries ;-P

I have found what I was looking for. A study by researchers at Texas A&M University titled "Punching Above its Weight: Life Cycle Energy Accounting and Environmental Assessment of Vanadium Microalloying in Reinforcement Bar Steel"

The abstract says "We find that the increased strength of vanadium microalloyed steel translates into substantial material savings over mild steel thus reducing the total global fossil carbon footprint by as much as 0.385%."

Research part funded by Vanitec. Published in October last year. hxxps://chemrxiv.org/articles/preprint/Punching_Above_its_Weight_Life_Cycle_Energy_Accounting_and_Environmental_Assessment_of_Vanadium_Microalloying_in_Reinforcement_Bar_Steel/13090265/1

Shieldbug, given the Salt Roast processes that produces Vanadium, you'll probably have a job making an argument that adding the tiny amounts of V that are requires to strengthen to steel, is an effective way of reducing for global carbon emissions! Thanks Dontay - Not quite what I had in mind. I meant reduction in carbon emissions by using hardened steel.

I would have thought that if use of small amounts of vanadium results in significant increase in strength of steel then the amount of steel needed would be similarly recuced. Thus leading to lower carbon footprint.

The idea is referenced in this article but it is not very detailed. hxxps://www.valuewalk.com/2020/06/contributing-to-a-low-carbon-future-using-ferrovanadium/

Dontay....fully agree. Plat is right upfront, tells us what he will do and does it. Even lets us know why and we could take advantage of it. I like that.

Why not? He's an open and honest trader who says what he's going to do before the story unfolds rather than bragging afterwards ... and traders provide liquidity. Shares are for selling just as much as buying. No-matter long or short, the aim of all investor is to MAKE money, that's why we invest and what we're all here for. There is no better friend for someone with a 'long' position than an open and honest 'bear' or someone running a short position ... giving their viewpoints and reasoning of how they see it ... which opens up all sides of any investment story. And vice-versa! All good imo.
