I do find this browbeating of posters rather distasteful, particularly given the strength of the position that LTHs here find themselves in. This isn't 2015/16. There is no need to be so defensive. If some visitors here cannot see the opportunity then that is their right and in my opinion their loss, and comments that are not to one's taste should be simply ignored.Wise words from Bigbitenow but will the thugs listen ?

Le Maillot Jaune,

Fortune Mojapelo (I am sure that you realise that you undermine your point by deliberately making fun of the name) is by no means without fault. He has undertaken a variety of things that I have not been comfortable with (Darwin involvement was an obvious one but there have been others) but has got a couple of very big decisions right (Vametco and Lemur for example) that have added enormous value. Do I think that he is God? No. Do I think that he is a pretty astute strategist? Yes. Overall I would say that he has positive credit in the bank.

To be honest, the most significant thing for me currently is the Vanadium price and there are reasons to be encouraged on this. I don't expect production for Q4 to be eye opening but the financials will be purely on the back of that Vanadium price. But the most significant aspect of the report will be the production number and whether there are indications that the phased improvements are coming through to the production numbers. If not, you have to question the operational performance. If they are then 2019 is likely to be a very strong year.

JC you know that, I know that but you missed my point. Folks over there label Fortune Jalapeño as some sort of messiah. It is totally delusional

Bushveld were never going to participate in a fund raise for Afritin and never will in my opinion. The point of divesting it was to focus on the Vanadium operation. In the same way it is likely that the Lemur operation will be demerged.

I would suggest that Bushveld have not missed out on the recent rally. They still have a significant stake which would have increased in value. However, I do not see an awful lot of point in Bushveld maintaining their stake in Afritin so at some point in the future I would see this being passed on. It is unlikely that FM would shaft AV so I suspect an off market transaction is the most likely mechanism.

As expected it's starting to move up now ahead of the Q4 updating season. Lemur's Q4 probably the first and expectations are high that it will land tomorrow am.

The Output Value of Sichuan Province's Steel Industry in 2020 Will Reach 350 Billion Y.Sichuan Provincial Development and Reform Commission as well as another 10 departments have jointly issued Opinions on Promoting the Regulatory Reform and Upgrading of Steel Industry, which is to enhance the quality and efficiency of steel industry in our province. The Opinions states that we will strive to build a 10 million-ton backbone steel group with great influence and strong competitiveness, create a number of brand-name products in the fields of rail and automobile steel and achieve a "double down" in total amount of energy consumption and pollutant discharge to meet their standards comprehensively and stably.Adjusting the structure and promoting transformation. Sichuan Province will eliminate backward production capacity according to laws and regulations, take market-oriented and lawful measures to dispose of "zombie enterprises", and strictly prohibit increase of new steel production capacity. Under the precondition that enterprises voluntarily reduce their displacement, we will guide enterprises to carry out capacity replacement on limitative legal capacity of iron making blast furnace of more than 400 cubic meters, steelmaking converters of more than 30 tons and steelmaking electric arc furnace of over 30 tons, and promote the upgrading and remolding of old equipment that have long service period or fail to meet the environmental requirements with high energy consumption rate.Enhancing the comprehensive competitiveness of iron and steel enterprises. Our province will select 2-3 enterprises as pilots for building national technology innovation demonstrative enterprises. At the same time, we will promote the intelligent transformation of iron and steel enterprises and green manufacturing within our province. Targeting high-speed rail, nuclear power, automobiles and other fields of major technical equipment needed for the development and promotion of high-end steel varieties, we will focus on improving vanadium and titanium anti-seismic steel, steel products used for automobile, household appliance and rail, and encourage steel companies' synergy to further research and develop high-strength, corrosion-resistant, long-life and high-quality steel.??Our province will steadily promote mergers and acquisitions and layout optimization of this industry, so its concentration as well as the market influence and competitiveness are expected to be increased. Relying on the existing leading enterprises' integration and reorganization, we are to build a strategic large-scale professional vanadium and titanium steel group with Sichuan characteristics.

nvhltd,

As much as I appreciate the advice and admit that I am always learning, I have been investing in various instruments for 35 years so feel as though I have a basic understanding of the requirements. I ALWAYS look at the downside risk. However, unlike you I also view risk as just the opposite side of the coin to opportunity. A balanced approach is required if you wish to succeed in a planned manner rather than stumbling across a 'one off' successful investment.

Jc2706: As I said my stance is perfectly clear to me and served me extremely well.

Focus on risk. It’s blindingly obviously and a great starting point to protect your hard earned dosh. Question everything. Challenge everything.

You seem to forget these people are selling you something in return for your investment.

May I suggest you watch Dragons Den. The various company owners stand in front of potential investors. It’s the owners job to sell his vision and it’s the Dragons job (we investors) to pick it to pieces and weigh up the risks.

Fortune is doing exactly the same to sell the company to Institutional investors, but unlike you will focus on the risk to their investment. Once invested they won’t want to hear excuses. They’ll be saying why have you failed to meet your targets, what’s gone wrong, when will you deliver.

Jc2706: well my stance on investing has served me extremely well and your second sentence confirms and agrees with everything I have said. The BoD is responsible for the good outcomes and missed targets. Good outcomes make me richer. Bad outcomes make me poorer. So simple.

Knuttie: That’s the first post I’ve read from you accepting the unknowns and because of that there is a divergence of views with you being totally positive in your thinking everything will be okay on the night and my view that the unknowns presents real risks.

It is the precedents of the past that in my view lead me to conclude things are not going to plan and will therefore have a negative impact on the growth of BE. Hopefully I am wrong and corruption is alive and well to our benefit.

Pity you had to finish off your post by again suggesting that I am shorting BMN, but if that makes you happy. 👍😉❤️

I think we will have to disagree as your stance on investing makes no sense to me at all on any level.

So, leaving aside anything external only internal factors can influence the share price. No kidding! Profound. :-)

JC2706: we will need to agree to disagree. There are many reasons why I remain invested and they are talked to death on the LSE.

What I am focused on are the risks to my £3million at 48p. I quite like seeing that kind of money showing against BMN in my account and as a minimum I don’t want it to diminish.

So what could cause it to reduce? The issues I have highlighted, because if nothing else it gives the MM and shorters the reason to drop the share price and therefore I would lose money. The only people that can influence the share price direction (leaving aside external factors) are the BoD.

I would suggest that if the VRFB commissioning has not proceeded as planned (or thereabouts) then questions need to be asked about the BE/UET relationship as, if UET has not provided sufficient support to make their first foray into Africa with a potential mega-deal at stake a success, then it casts doubt on their execution capabilities.

The first rule of any partnership is to ensure that the first engagement is a success and all necessary steps (including a UET implementation team on site) should be taken to ensure this.

Let's not forget that all aspects of this system are UET sourced - there is nothing from BMN included as they are currently not capable of producing electrolyte. So any fault in implementation should lie heavily at UET's door.

I would not even pretend to know the answer(s) on this, quite possibly Fortune et al don't yet have all the answers. However I am very much in a different camp to you because I trust the BoD to get it sorted.

As a shorter you are relying on th eopposite.

nvhltd,

"There is absolutely nothing contradictory holding shares in a company, but not being totally happy with how things are progressing". I agree. But this does not describe your position. You are not totally happy. Your posting suggests that you are totally UNHAPPY. There is a world of difference.
