The Lemur acquisition has already served its purpose (Lemur cash gave BMN a lifeline when times were very tough). Imalato (coal mine + IPP) is a potential bonus, though I still doubt it will ever happen. Plenty of foreign aid at risk should Madagascar make the 'wrong kind' of energy decisions. Madagascar (unique ecosystem) and environmental protests, go together like strawberries and cream. At least 2 other companies have previously tried to make something of Imalato, failed and sold it on. Personally I'd like to see BMN also sell it on (for cash). As for Synohydro, they are no doubt interested in gaining a foothold in Madagascar, but ultimately they can also deliver green/renewable solutions. An Imalato IPP may be just a means to an end...
