LSE BMN board was horrible today 2 well informed posters Jimmyst and Blueface got shafted in my opinion for asking questions about the share price as to the recent dip considering the good RNS ? Think certain people there are ramping this up for there own benefit ? Any thoughts guys ? What do you think bookworm?

Bit frantic on LSE

In spite of news is this really likely to go much higher before the presentation to the people that matter?
If it goes up further now, they're probably only going to feel they have been allowed to miss out.
A small retrace even, would perhaps allow them to feel that they've instantly made the right choice if/when they buy in after the presentation.

"Nothing is random" as they use to say on Range.

@bookworm don't try that line over on LSE. They are delusional. They've placed a value of $360m on the asset they are acquiring or 20% thereof I'm not quite sure.

Bottom line though is that 41m new shares are going to hit the tape now PDQ in my opinion.

Actually, thinking more about loglorry's post and the new deal, perhaps I should have replaced the word suicidal with the word corrupt. I can't think of any other reason for making such an incredibly disadvantageous deal except dirty dealings. But maybe I'm too cynical.

Well, my short is nicely in money now. Other than the general problems associated with investing in South Africa nowadays, the deals that Bushveld are doing seem completely suicidal. I'm beginning to wonder if Fortune isn't a complete fantasist and megalomaniac. What the heck is he playing at?!?

Horrible deal announced by BMN

They are paying 41m shares for a 49.5% share of a tin mine at a priviously agreed sale price of £650K. That values each share at 1.6p. They are also taking on £1m in debt from the vendor!

There are no lock-ins for the shares so no doubt they'll find there way to market pretty quickly!

Some 'Alternative Facts' regarding Zuma's precipitous actions. The nuclear issue is massive and should it ever go ahead, will be very bad news for SA finances and future renewables investment...

@gah why didn't BMN close the debt funding at end of March as they said they would? They had months to get ut done.

Loglorry1 - I'm sorry but your talking rubbish once again. You come across clueless or someone posting with an agenda. If you have a short to close I would close first thing Monday. So much positive transformational news due, all in a short space of time on top of the completion rns we had on friday. This usually only means one thing multi multi bagger.

@kevkan I think if you look back a bit further you'll see an RNS stating that the full debt funding was also at an advanced stage. They said term sheets were about to be signed. Yet what happened? They didn't complete it & instead had to take a very expensive bridging loan.

Now they "intend" to avoid an equity issue. I might intend to live forever but so what?

No mention of mezzanine debt now.

Yes lots of ramping on LSE. Seen it all before. Means nothing. Have a look at the CTAG thread back at Christmas time. Same overconfidence there.

Of course BMN may pull off cheap debt funding to buy Vametco for $16m which will produce $11m operating profit a year. It seems almost too good to be true though doesn't it?

It's called a 'bridge' loan, because it's used as a short term 'bridge' to another longer term financing; such as when an asset can be used as security. It's not rocket science...

Taken from RNS Thu, 30th Mar 2017 07:00

BVL intends to refinance the Bridge Loan following completion of the Acquisition and discussions are advanced in this regard. There is no expectation that any refinance will be completed through an equity issue.

Note the word ADVANCED usually means about to happen, my understanding is you can not tell porkies contained in an RNS statement unlike some of the dribble I have just read
