24/1/2012 23:29 | i think surgeons are getting spooked by recalls , hips and breasts and are more liekly to use something fully tested , for safety | doctor 69
24/1/2012 18:54 | If what the doc says about vein stripping has or is being overtaken by clinic based treatments (presumably foam) in the UK is true then that's not necessarily good news. It would mean the foam treatments being used are homebrews as there in no approved product avalaible. Assuming these treatments are on the NHS it would also imply that the NHS considers homebrews perfectly safe, so safe in fact that veins surgeons are queing up to use them. Because Varisolve is a manufactured product it is more expensive than any homebrew. That being the case why would the NHS use Varisolve? Finally, as stated before, the real money is in self-marketing in the USA were the FDA are clearly more strict about foam than their EU counterparts. | cortez4

23/1/2012 18:59 | The message posted a while back about surgeons in the US getting easier access to theatre time because vein stripping had been overtaken by clinic based treatments gives me hope. All the components of Varisolve are 'safe to use' materials its just the package as a foam which is novel. I'm more hopeful when its quiet. Expect leaks soon - has any body got surgeon pals in the US? | fhmktg
23/1/2012 18:15 | News due soon on Varisolve. The long leg is completed. | bargainbob
23/1/2012 17:17 | Varisolve news strangely non existent these days. Could it just be that time and tide waiting for no man has caused this long running jam tomorrow saga to run its course and is quietly being dropped??I hope not but ....... Ssords | ssords

18/1/2012 11:09 | Re the last post re PH analyst. It's known as not wanting to be seen as out of step yet not knowing quite where the steps are or indeed where they lead to! | gregmorg

18/1/2012 09:03 | The early wide spread of buy and sell is closing now. The high of 345 and the low of 322 would prevent many from buying and selling. The volume of shares traded is very low. Brokers and analysts will need to re-assess their positions and new brokers notes will appear in due course. The initial response in terms of share price is disappointing but the announcement was made when all markets were closed. The major influence may come from the US when they open. | bill hunt
18/1/2012 08:53 | The approval was only obtained last night, so it could vave gone either way for speculators. The RNS is a ststement of fact & so logically should have pushed the share price a lot higher. Just smacks of insider dealing if it was known in advance this had received approval. | bobby.ifa
18/1/2012 08:27 | Bobby , This was what caused the step up in price over the last month. | bargainbob |
