Yes but what if it goes the other way, as you say PI challenges.

£1.61 with a 15p divi, nothing wrong with that, unless the stock goes to £1.45 and they cut the divi by 30%, but that's the pitfalls of the PI

Do you know, I'm half tempted with this one, but being a wise old investor I'm gonna wait for the third dip!

lol @ that attractive dividend stocks article - mentions risk too high on BT and that there are more appealing dividend stocks than Centrica - why not cover those instead then ?!

Great atmosphere in Parliament Sq last night, fantastic feeling of patriotism. A few Remainers looking like whipped dogs, but it is without doubt that Boris has put some spring in the step of our great nation.

The buys and sells (or unsures?) on the trade section are just guesses as to which way the order went through. In an ideal world the buys and sells should always match, but rarely ever do. Let's be honest for every buyer there is a seller, so a reciprocal order should also be there.

Monty, what's your experience in a buy order that then shows up on the trades as a sell?

While I do place some importance to the divi I agree you really do need to look at the full picture.

When a full years divi can be wiped out in a day as more or less happened here yesterday it really illustrates that on its own it means very little infact when it gets in or near double figures it can be a pretty good indicator things may not be right.
