Disappointing day but BT will rise from the ashes like the Phoenix given a favourable wind and it's well due one.

Customer satisfaction.....sorry, but what do you expect when BT is crippled by a biased regulator?..of course their going to have to cut corners everywhere.
Now if bt was making obscene profits with extortionate pricing there would be a case to answer

The last among equals
---------------------

TalkTalk and BT have received the worst customer satisfaction scores in a survey of 12 broadband providers.

They scored 38% and 45% respectively with their customers, while Sky (48%) and EE (49%) came close behind them in the Which? survey of 1,800 people.

Frequent price rises, connections that drop, unreliable speeds and "woeful" customer service all contributed to the scores, the consumer group said.

The four account for almost three-quarters of the UK broadband market.

BT alone accounts for almost a third of the country's broadband connections.

A rise of 10% for two consecutive years:

1st year: 100 pence equates to 110p, (100p x 1.10 = 110p)

2nd year: 110 pence equates to 121p, (110 x 1.10 = 121p)

Total uplift of 21 pence, which is actually a 21% uplift on the initial 100p, thats over two years mind @10% a year.

edit: 06:54 - re post 23164, my apologies 801710245, can I call you Brian, for missing your very excellent post above, mutley180 recons I'm a burger flipper as well, yeh, I know, its great init :@)

Come on Monty you are losing your touch; 801..... has just shown you up as an idiot.

When you were at the top of your game you would have already posted a picture of a vagrant wearing nothing but underpants and made out that it was him.

You have to up your game mate, England expects.

Mont, most here know the difference between your and you're, which you don't. So if we are all muppets, you must be a uber muppet.

But we all know that anyhow.

Good evening Monty - I'm here to eat humble pie.

Of course 10% on top of 10% = 20%. What on earth was I thinking?
Please accept my sincere apologies.

Actually, you are right with a number of your observations this afternoon...

a) Obviously, my maths is woeful - which don't help when it comes to investing.
b) Yes, I do work for a chain of fast food restaurants - or used to (but it would not be seemly or professional of me to convey which one).
c) And yes, you're right - I am a muppet.

There are a few other things you won't know about me - but perhaps should:
a) I have a soap/shampoo allergy;
b) As a result of the above - and never washing (including after a toilet breaks), I suffer with hideous B.O., greasy lank hair and near-terminal acne;
c) I pick my nose (not usually in public, I might add - that would be disgusting);
d) I pick at my ubiquitous sores;
e) - and as a result of the above, have weaping psoriasis.
f) BUT, I am a huge fan of yours - and I suspect that I am typical (certainly in terms of personal hygene) of all the rest on here who hold you in similar esteem.
g) Finally (and most importantly of all) I am a damn fine burger flipper...

When I first joined this fast-food chain, obviously, I only had the one star.
However, within a couple of weeks, I was flipping more burgers than some 'long-term' seasoned pros who'd worked there for over three months. My manager called me over and said:

"Look here 801710245, you are showing great potential and 'out-flipping' many of your colleagues. I hereby award you a second star and a 10% pay rise."

Well, as you can imagine, I was delighted. Up until that moment, I'd been on £100 per week. All of a sudden, this had shot up to £110!!!!

Time went on and after a year, I was the fastest flipper in Bedford! My boss called me over again and said:

"Look here 801710245, you are the best flipping flipper in the whole of Bedford! I hereby award you a third star and another 10% pay rise."

Well, as you can imagine, I was over-joyed! "How much will I be earning per week after this second 10% boss?" (I asked him - welling up slightly).

"Well let me see 801710245" - he said, "You were on £100 when you started, the first 10% took you up to £110, and 10% of £110 is £11. So, we'll add an extra £11 to your existing wage of £110, making a grand total of £121."

So I said: "But I know this bloke called Monty, who reliably informs me that two lots of 10% make 20% - and that 20% of £100 is £20. So how come I'll be earning £21 more than when I started, rather than just £20 - you must have got it all wrong..."

- at which point, he sacked me for insubordination.

Now who's the muppet Monty?

Woodford has raised over half a Billion for his new fund apparently.
The Income focus at 5%/yr yield.BT at these levels could be a strong contender for this fund.
