Breakout from previous narrow trading range now seems confirmed .
Very slow but steady recovery from earlier dramatic price drop.
Share buys below 320 will reap rewards for long-term investors. Forced closures of short-sell positions hopefully will add to the momentum.

My sold BT February 300 strike put options about to expire with full premium gain.
Just placed new sale trade of December 300 strike put options @ 25.25 premium.
Further sale order placed for selling April 300 puts @ 5 but has not yet traded .
P.S. April trade order not filled in todays trading.

Finishing on a high end of week! Looks good for next week imo. Clear trend reversal established imo.

BT hanging in there against Virgin Media onslaught

Haitong says BT's Openreach arm is holding up well in the face of the network expansion by Virgin Media

Results from Virgin Media owner Liberty Global showed BT Group PLC (LON:BT.A) holding its own against the interloper, as it muscles in on BT's market.

Broker Haitong notes that in 2016, Virgin Media extended its network reach by around 444,000 premises, a number that only describes the number of additional residences that could take Virgin's services.

Over the same period, the number of BT Openreach lines being subscribed for reduced by 73,000; however, the number rose by 50,000 in the final quarter – a period in which Virgin media's network reach grew by around 197,000.

Haitong rates BT as a 'buy', and has ascribed a fair value of 445p to it, compared to its current price of 313p.

Glad I topped up 20k in my ISA this morning on the dip...

Nearly missed the last boat sailing away from 310 (well actually I did miss it since I bought at 311 today, but lots more already tucked away at 300-310 over the past few weeks

Its quite clear sentiment has changed and turned positive. Last few weeks were just churn. Upwards manipulation from here imo.
