Youna: what strike did you pick for your September calls?

Bought some cheap puts -- just as a precaution in case we get a lurch back to 300p.I mainly long via June/sept options and bought some shares last week (at 320p :-( )

Hopefully 310 now new level of resistance(correction: support) if it can hold current price levels by the close . Very likely .

My sold BT February 300 strike put options look like they are heading for a win after the confidence boost of director buys.In retro buying 300 strike calls would have even been better . Still: nice to get the option premiums up front.

The shorts play on fear but the brave can pick up bargains - like Glencore this time last year.

Looks like the Openreach Governance appointments and Director purchases have triggered the wave taking BT back to 400+ where it belongs.Good luck all.

These will settle down around 350p. Directors bought £500,000 worth of shares. Ridiculously cheap.

Director share buy would have been more effective as price support on the day of results
as I advocated before.
Still, better late than never.
Director buys are not always a sure guide of price moves ahead
but when a group of them make substantial buys after a sharp price drop
it sure is a signal that they consider current market prices attractive.
It is fair to say that they should have a better understanding of the
company's worth than the average retail investor.
Currently above 310. Looks promising. Fingers crossed .

A lot of support from Directors. Money where your mouth is. It's going to tick up to 3.10 (and beyond) soon, but waiting for it is like watching paint dry!

Orange unlikely to cash out their 5% stake at a low point
after suffering a 28% drop just when the share price marks a strong point of resistance around 300.
BT pension deficit needs to be watched but cuts both ways since it stops Ofcom enforcing a demerger of Openreach.
Long-term investors could do worse than joining the BT director to load up at present (303 approx) price levels. Better than leaving spare cash idling in bank accounts.
