16/5/2024 20:37 | if there is 300m outstanding declared being shorted there was only 126m traded today and alot of those could be genuine buyers. This needs another squeeeze uptp 170p to clear them out. :)) | isis
16/5/2024 20:20 | Interest rates will obviously fall but it is a question of when. The market is predicting August - but that could happen in July as I see it - the bad news is it will only be a quarter of one per cent, and future rate falls will be slow to follow. We could be looking at a bank rate of 4.5% by the end of the year. The way BT have been rising prices - inflation plus 3.9% - on one hand income should be increasing - on the other hand how many customers are they losing. Mind you some people pay their rate regard of price. Maybe today is the beginning of an upturn for the share price - who knows. Tomorrow will start to tell if today rise does consolidate and not slip back. The overall news today is quite fair. | clive7878
16/5/2024 19:57 | Like the Shorters the Court Case seems to have died a Death! | isis
16/5/2024 18:38 | Worth noting it is unlikely all the shorts closed today (though I haven't seen volumes away from LSE)....could be another 100-150mn shares still short. That alone will provide decent bid-side support.....and then there are the real money accounts viewing today as a turning point for sentiment.I see the shares at 175p or so by end of H1. More if there is corporate action..... | markingtime
16/5/2024 18:14 | I would expect a small rise in the November Interims too. | isis |
