DOW is having huge swings at the moment. Sell in May is coming early but these are too cheap to sell.

yeah - complete opposite of UBS but it seems the downgraders win out. 100p or 290p

Only a slight difference!

I do a lot of cycling and for some time we've been seeing roads dug up all over the countryside as fibre is run out to pretty much every village in the West Country (and elsewhere obviously). With the great switch off of the copper network at the end of next year, everyone and his dog that isn't using 4G/5G will be using fibre for their phone calls and broadband. The amount of cashflow this is likely to generate is frankly staggering. I've thought for some time that on a two year view, BT is worth well over double what it is now, and possibly a lot more.

We were very happy to upgrade to fibre to the home (rather than just to the exchange), with basically a doubling of download speeds and much improved reliability, and whilst we're paying Vodafone, part of the monthly charge goes to Openreach for the line provision.

Whilst the short term ups-and-downs can be a bit frustrating, I do feel BT is a no-brainer in the longer term.

Year low for Nat West is 168p now equivalent of 300p - less than 3 months ago punters could buy below 200p
Government would have to persuade the Public they are getting a bargain at say 240 when they could have bought at 190p hmmmm

Which begs the question. Will the Public sale of Nat West go ahead?
The shares were around 190/200p when they were thinking of it and paid an 11p dividend, now they are nearly 280p - 290p if you include the div - I think the Horse has bolted!

Didn't anyone get their latest BT bill today? I'm sure that upset a few people when they saw the rise in pounds and pence!

thats because shares fell in 2022 with ukraine and the start of the rate cycle….

you dont need a technical recession to be declared for things to be tough - as they have been in many industries over the last 12 months

All these brokers were spouting recession fears in 2023...nothing happened...

On BT, the bank’s “anti-consensus” sell stance and 10p cut in target to 100p reflects fears that things will get worse before they get better in a story of many moving parts.
