You do realise that we buy loads of drugs from America right now...and the NHS procurement division has negotiated very good deals with the suppliers of those drugs.

God help you if you want to refuse drugs from America if you get ill

@jisler I'm no brexiteer , far from it. I worry about the implications of leaving EU. However, Austerity is over for g'd sake . Its how the government gets us out of this nightmare : spending on public works. But its focused spending on public construction and technology infrastructure . The Tories will always try and run an efficient ship and keep running costs tight.

IF the government get the Business taxes right the economy will do just fine because new business will rise and old will increase investment.

what is the definition of austerity?

HMG annual spend set to rise to record levels, yet still the brainwashed say 'austerity is not yet over'.

Read up 1935-1955...that was austerity.
not enough food, shelter, heating...the basics.

This rich pampered, obese, spoilt generation with their flatscreen TV's, central heatig, gleaming new cars, overseas holidays, smartphones talk of austerity.
So ignorant.

Level up Britain? The public finances are going to take a hammering over the next 5 years, austerity is NOT over. Javid has just ordered 5% budget cuts across government departments, Brexit is going to hurt the economy - lower tax rake = less investment.

Looking at that chart needs a test of 160 and possibly below as they often overshoot before any decent rally. imo

No, 500m hit over 5 years is 100m a year peanuts really. CEO still on track for full year. Dividend paid now Chinese on board for 5g, might of been a different case if they where not.
