Anyone know why we're 4% higher today?

i am looking at a 10 year chart going back until before sept 11th 2001. during the 10 day period after WTC disaster the share price halved from 360p to 180p (based on todays share price).

Yes rutt, I think you may be talking about before the share split (3 for 2 I believe). I felt rather sore about that, as I lost on the bottom line - all back to profit now though! fh

Rutt - Please explain, you completely lost me!! Has BRE ever been 375? I know there was a split early 2006. I haven't been in for very long - 3-4mths, so not sure about past.

Nice spike upwards - 60k purchase -wouldn't have thought that on its own would have caused the rise but I could be wrong.

Seems to be up and down at the moment. I just holding for now, although i think it's a good share and if it does dip a lot may be tempted too.

3 disposals in the last 3 days by 3 different institutions for reasons best known to themselves. I am confident though (should I be saying that?!)

Dollar strengthening -should reverse recent downturn in share price.

Any ideas on why the drop today? Almost 4% at one point, doesn't look like totally random noise - I can't find any news to explain it.

Showing a lot of strength at the moment, hope it keeps going a lot of insurance firms been undervalued in last few years.

I think its just fundamentals
fewer hurricanes implies a good sector this year
plus a bit oversold last year due to Katrina etc.
such a yummy share !
