09/6/2015 11:37 | denbos - The combined final/special div of 25p was paid out on 30/4. I received it in my account the same day. Have you checked back to around that date? If you haven't received it, then you obiously need to contact your broker to notify them of the discrepancy. | speedsgh
09/6/2015 01:53 | Received my payment of 2.80 per share but no dividend of 25p ps. This is absolute financial scandal. The offer clearly stated 3.05 per share. I will be taking legal advice in future. | denbos
08/6/2015 12:21 | Just received mine in iWeb FWIW | cwa1
07/6/2015 08:31 | Yes, received mine. Wonder whether BRIT will be listed a third time at some point otherwise, it's goodbye BRIT. | topvest

04/6/2015 15:10 | Spoke to Sam @ Britt & was informed that payment will be made on 5th June. | denbos
01/6/2015 13:31 | Accepted offer on 27th Apr. Still waiting for payment of funds. Not the best system of treating shareholders funds!! OFT need to look at this as do Financial Ombudsman. | denbos
26/5/2015 15:04 | Good news. Thanks for alerting, speedsgh. | wirralowl
26/5/2015 09:22 | Note no mention of a "final interim dividend payment" as I suspected (see post 160)... We should all at least be getting our money soon. Offer Declared Unconditional in All Respects - 2. Offer declared unconditional in all respects As all conditions relating to the Offer set out in the Offer Document have now been satisfied or waived, FGL is pleased to announce that the Offer has been declared unconditional in all respects. Accordingly, cash consideration will be paid within 10 days of the date of this announcement to those Brit Shareholders whose valid acceptances have already been received. Payment of cash consideration in respect of valid acceptances received after the date of this announcement will be made within 10 days after receipt of each such acceptance. Brit Shareholders who have not yet accepted the Offer are encouraged to do so without delay. Full details of how to accept the Offer are set out in the Offer Document, a copy of which is available on Fairfax's website at www.fairfax.ca/brito The Offer will remain open for acceptance until further notice (such notice not to be less than 14 days). 3. Level of acceptances As at 16:26 (London time) on 22 May 2015, FGL had received valid acceptances of the Offer in respect of 372,423,871 Brit Shares, representing approximately 93 per cent. of the existing ordinary issued share capital of Brit. | speedsgh
22/5/2015 12:41 | Thanks, WirralOwl. Link to those ii posts for any others that may be interested - Not sure about the mention of "a final Interim dividend payment". I would discount this completely + view any additional received as a brucey bonus. | speedsgh
22/5/2015 12:04 | Don't mind waiting loads of cash patiently waiting for a market crash already | spob
22/5/2015 11:53 | Interesting posts on ii about the t/o situation. It seems it could drag on for another few weeks or even up until September! One positive, is that we will apparently be credited with another (final interim) dividend payment, due at the end of June. At least that's some compensation I guess, for our money being tied up for so long... | wirralowl
15/5/2015 11:06 | Accepting an offer that is not finite seems like an 'illegal' way of retaining funds that can earn on money markets ie a loan that is open ended. Must be some protection against this kind of delay. | denbos
15/5/2015 09:02 | We have an advice from brokers saying if we do not give contrary instructions by 20.05 they will accept so monies soon I think. | bscuit
15/5/2015 08:25 | Brit 283p to sell at moment. Will be asking for my shares back soon..... | cwa1
13/5/2015 20:10 | There will be no new offer as the company is more than 50% owned by binding acceptors--as I understand it. Taking a long time to being to fruition though.Frustrating. | bscuit
13/5/2015 19:53 | your acceptance would lapse anyway if a new offer came along | spob
13/5/2015 14:00 | I have now withdrawn my acceptance and hope for a better offer | kombimatec
13/5/2015 14:00 | I have now withdrawn my acceptance and hope for a better offer | kombimatec
13/5/2015 12:16 | Having previously relectantly accepted the low ball offer from Fairfax I've now sold in the market. I got fed up with the lack of information on this takeover and the waiting. | valhamos
12/5/2015 12:53 | I'm unable to sell online anymore and HL have now assigned zero value to my BRIT holding, with the following note attached: 9 This stock is an interim line resulting from a corporate action that will be exchanged for cash and/or stock. | wirralowl
10/5/2015 12:15 | I'm puzzled that Barclays are listing my Brit shares under the EPIC BRIA, but only at 154.5p/share. I'm assuming that it's a techie quirk and will fix itself, but it's a bit disconcerting. | martinc
08/5/2015 11:48 | There seems to be a lot of shareholders tied to the offer. I believe that the 'tie' is only temporary. This is from the offer : Accepting shareholders should note that they will be able to withdraw their acceptance of the Offer at any time prior to the Offer becoming or being declared unconditional in all respects, but not thereafter. Acceptance of the Offer by a Brit Shareholder before the record date for the 2014 Dividends will not prevent that Brit Shareholder from becoming entitled to receive and retain such dividends. | denbos
08/5/2015 08:18 | Odd that trades are going through this morning above the 280p offer price. | valhamos |
